Quite of a challenge when designing this thing, but not that hard to fold (main hardship is the layers are just toooo thick to counter balance the drag of the tail section. Somehow it also forced me to come up with a new base. Enjoy!

Bell X-1

I love experimental aircraft. They‘ve always looked really cool to me especially if they are ones used to test new technologies.

The Bell X-1 is one of my favourites. It’s rare to see a supersonic aircraft with straight wings like this. So I made it into a plane.

This design flies quite well. I like the mid-mounted wing and stabilizers, and I also added the registration and decals. This is based off the one at the Smithsonian, and is the first aircraft to break the sound barrier.

A complete rework of a previous design since this version is much more closer to my original concept and has more details

Avro CF-105 Arrow (remastered)

Post image

I built an Avro Arrow around a year and an half ago and it was one of the first fighters that I put a livery on.

However, it flew really badly because of the fact that I didn’t model the intakes and a lot of the surface area was at the back. The second issue is that the front part of the Arrow’s intakes are directly below one of the windows of the cockpit, and I didn’t know how to get them to look realistic back then.

After I made the Panavia Tornado though, I learned how to make it look better. So I decided to give the Arrow another try. I modeled the intakes to act as extra lift at the front and gave it a slightly more accurate livery (RL-201 didn’t have red, but RL-205 did). I also added a launching hook.

This is one of my favourite builds so far. The Arrow is one of my favourite planes and I’m glad to finally have a good-performing paper model of it!

So this is my take on the F-16 Fighting Falcon, tbh a highly oversaturated subject in origami planes and there are so many out there, making my own version is quite challenging if my goal is to stand out. Now here it is

Panavia Tornado with working variable-swept wings

Post image

A year ago, I made a Panavia Tornado. But it didn’t have a working sweep wing and it was kinda inaccurate.

Now that I have learned to make variable swept wings, I decided to remaster it for my first replica. I made the fuselage more accurate by separating the tail from the fuselage in the template, and I made the wing sweep system.

I really love how it turned out! It flies quite well and isn’t as heavy as my other variable swept wings. Plus it looks accurate! My only issue is that the system is extremely fragile due to how small it is. I might change it in the next variable sweep wing I design.

Variable Sweep Wing #3: FMX-14

This is my third variable swept wing prototype. I changed the system to use a circular hinge, allowing it to swivel more.

This design flies quite well. It loses speed fast when its wings are forward but it maintains its speed well when they are swept back. This design also does not have any leading edge notches, making it easier to cut out. This design is also much smaller, fitting in just one sheet of paper.

I’m planning on making a replica next.

Yeah, this is the first time me bringing a strategic bomber into origami world. Basically I used some of the design features on the Supernova and remade them into engine pods, and this one came out.

1903 Wright Flyer

Post image

This is my very first biplane design. I chose it because it is iconic and a friend challenged me to make one.

The Wrigit Flyer is definitely one of the most complicated planes I’ve made. In total there are 37 pieces on one sheet of paper. It‘s also my first time having a hollow fuselage and making struts.

Just like the WhiteWings one, it is meant to be hand launched but I added a small catapult hook just for testing. I tried my best to get the look accurate but this is certainly very simplified.

I really love this look and I’m even more happy that it can fly although it is more of a display model. Overall this is probably one of my favourite models.
