Reminds me of Cast Into Time, it sounds like it's going to do something interesting, but it's just a single target blast.
Effectively does a flat 10 damage wtih the usual 4 degrees of success, an AoE blast would be 4d6 which is 14 average, Thunderstrike averages 18.

I think it does prone unless they critically succeed though, which is actually really nice.

Still, the Prone is pretty much all you're getting from this spell, since the damage is so bad (especially if you heighten it for the multitarget version).

Much worse vs anything that can fly as they completely negate it with a successful reflex or acrobatics check (whichever is higher).

Oh and in a rare twist, this is much worse for enemies than PCs, as PCs often have things like a Soft-Landing Rune, Cat Fall feat or Gentle Landing spell.

This is a good way to damage enemies that are resistant to spell damage. You are not hurting them; Gravity is hurting them.

The range is decent, and it heightens to target multiple creatures, but the damage will never be higher than 20.

For a spell you don't need to heighten if it's against just one enemy, that's not bad, and it can make them prone.

Situational, prepared-only unless you expect a lot of magic-damage resistant foes.

It really isn't a good way to damage anything, this is effectively 10 damage with a basic reflex save, odds are you'll do more damage with a Thunderstrike (average 18) that gets resisted. The only reason to cast this is because fall damage means automatic prone.

IRRC, it's generally around lvl 10 that you start seeing creatures with spell resistance. The only creature I could find with less than 10 spells resistance was the Charnel Creation, which had 5.

So this spell outdoes a thunderstrike at the same rank.

Aren't they incredibly rare though? I've played quite a few APs with resistance to spells coming up... Never? What's way more common is enemies having a +1 status bonus to saves vs spells...

Pre-remaster, it was just "immunity to magic" IIRC, based on 1e Golems, which were in turn based on DnD Golems.
