Tech Support Broken PC

Post image

I woke up the other day to find water had spilled all over my pc, I turned it on a few times and it kept turning off. Until eventually it finally came on, I logged in and made it to the home screen until it froze and turned off. I’ve tried taking out all of the parts to let them dry for around 24h and put all the parts back in carefully and same result, just turns on and off. I really would appreciate some recommendations thanks.

Discovering water on your pc after a long period of time probably means oxidation and potentially shorting parts. Was it on all the hardware or just certain areas?

It was stood up so it seemed through the whole pc but I’m not too sure which parts got wet and which didn’t

If you spilled water on your pc and turned it on after or tried to keep it running, you might have shorted contacts on your motherboard, or worse: your gpu. What i would do is ask a friend, or any one you know with a pc to let you use it and replace components one by one until it works. Anything that is broken is (and im gonna hold your hand while I say this) likely unsavable. Anyway, hope this helps. You might also enjoy watching Linus' video on this, but you did fail step one by turning your pc back on unfortunately. GL!
