Monthly Confirmation September 2026 Confirmation Thread

Submit your confirmations below!

How Does This Process Work?

Note: Confirmations may take a few minutes as the bot processes the confirmation.

After exchanging emails or letters, confirm that the user sent them by tagging their name, and then in the format of #-#, where the first number is email count and the second the letter count, post the number of emails and letters you received.

Example:

  1. u/digitalmayhap received 2 emails and 1 snail mail letter from u/thisisverytricky

  2. u/digitalmayhap posts a comment in the confirmation thread saying u/thisisverytricky 2-1

  3. u/PenPalConfirmationBo replies to u/digitalmayhaps's comment indicating that their counts have been updated on their flair!

FAQ

  1. The bot didn't respond to my comment. What's wrong?

Did you follow the correct pattern? Follow the pattern above!

Give it a few minutes! Sometimes the Reddit APIs can get a little overworked and start having issues. If the issue persists for more than a few hours, please message the moderators. The bot might be experiencing issues!

  1. I have multiple letters/emails I exchanged with multiple people to confirm this month; should I post them separately or in a single post?

Feel free to post them in a single comment or as multiple comments! If you post them all in a single comment, make sure to put each redditor on a separate line and to follow the proper format of u/REDDIT #-#.

  1. I forgot to confirm an exchange last month! Can I confirm the exchange this month?

Yes!

Email & Snail Mail [28/M] Hello world! 🤟🏽

Hi, i’m new to this subreddit and I’m honestly just looking for someone to exchange life with if that makes any sense lol. I’ve always wanted a pen pal but I thought it was dead since technology made it really easy for people to connect and just send texts or calls/facetime. I’m just looking for someone to connect to, whether that be me being a therapist, you being mine, or we conversing about life in general. Would be cool to meet someone from a different country!! But I’m open to people from all over. I’m pretty much an open book so you can ask whatever. I’m 28, mixed race (white/black), and live in SC, USA. I work as a truck driver. Pretty nerdy when it comes to marvel. Only anime’s i am into is Naruto and DBZ/DBS. I’m a tech guy. I am a married man and a masculine homosexual (not my whole identity but I feel like straight people would want to know). Like I said i’m new to this whole pen pal thing but I think it’d be pretty cool for me to have someone i can actually write letters to, send emails to, or just chop it up on the phone with (bonus points if you like talking on the phone, i am a truck driver after all lol). Feel free to leave a comment or DM me. Like I said, i’m pretty much an open book. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Edit: no racial, religious, or age hang ups here. Just thought I’d put that out there.

Snail Mail [23/M] Mongolian

Right uhm. Let’s see what we can write here. Traditionally, penpals mailed handwritten letters to each other across cities, continents right. I would like to experience this. Handwritten letters back and forth, learn about their everyday life, and cultures, exchange stationaries maybe.
Just like most people, I enjoy reading books, learning languages (learning in general) and listening to music. And there are other things that I wanna disclose on letters.

A proper letter… that would be great. Back and forth, committed? even better. You know what… you don’t have to be. But if you do, that would make our lives bit more interesting.

Email & Snail Mail [29/M] (Oregon, USA) Looking for a penpal around my age for snail mail and/or email

Hi! I'm looking for a penpal interested in talking via snail mail and/or email. I like the idea of having a slower, more thoughtful form of communication.

I'm from Oregon and enjoy nature, gardening, horticulture, reading, writing, and traveling. I love books, especially literature, memoirs, and anything introspective or thought-provoking. I'm also interested in philosophy, history, business, and investing.

I'd love to exchange letters about what we're reading, what's happening in our lives, places we'd like to visit, personal projects, strange observations, or whatever else happens to be on our minds.

I'm open to writing with people from anywhere. If you're looking for thoughtful, genuine correspondence and think we'd have things to talk about, feel free to send me a message!

Snail Mail [30/F] I would love a pen pal!

Hi everyone!

Entirely new here lol, but recently I'd been thinking of exchanging letters with a new friend. I'd love the opportunity to get to know someone entirely via mail and just... exchange words, lives, things you've always wanted to say, things you never could do or love to do, experiences you love or hated.

For reference, I am a person who loves to read, play video games, do crafts, garden etc. I am a child free 30yo woman and work from home with travel on occasion, so in general I am fairly isolated in certain ways.

I love to write in journals so I'd love the chance to actually write to someone. I want to share experiences and there is something so intimate about a letter! The process of sealing the envelope and getting excited when the next letter comes is something I might be romanticizing lol.

Anyway, anyone interested? 😂 I'm not sure at all how this works, so please let me know. Total newbie here!!

Edit: omg ty for all of the chats!!! I am responding to you guys 🥰

Email & Snail Mail [29/M] (California, USA) Looking for email or mail pen pal!

Upvotes

Hello world! I'm looking for a pen pal who is interested in snail mail and/or email! I need an excuse to buy nice stationery for my office and to make sure I still practice some penmanship! If you don't want to try and decipher my history teacher-esqe handwriting, I'm happy to email as well!

I am a 29-year-old man living in California, where I majored in history, hold a graduate degree in education, and I am currently working in school administration. I'm married with no kids as of yet, and I'm just hoping to build connections with more people out in the world.

I enjoy reading, getting outdoors for hikes, film and TV, and I love learning about new things as well as learning about others' cultures and lives. You'll find me reading a lot more than I used to. I try to shuffle between literary fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, history, political theory, and theology. Once upon a time, when I had more time, I was also into video games. I would enjoy discussing these things and the comings and goings of life. I've always been terrible at small talk, but I'm the person who will sit down and talk for hours about the mysteries of life after a few beers. I'm also in the middle of a "getting myself together phase", and so I'm working on being more social, exercising, improving my mental health, and working on my physical health.

I honestly cannot say you need to share any interest or meet any sort of criteria. I love learning about people of any and all persuasions. If you're interested in connecting, let me know!

Snail Mail & Postcard [18/M] from France looking for a new penpal

Hi everyone!

I’d love to find a new pen pal as I’ve lost touch with several of the ones I used to have.

I’m 18 and I’m in France. I’ve just started a new work-study course. It’s a course in milling and it’s based not far from La Rochelle, but the company I found and which has taken me on is a small mill located not far from the town of Lorient. So I’ll have two addresses for the duration of my two-year studies.

My dream is to move to New Zealand one day. So if any New Zealanders happen to come across my post, I’d love to be your pen pal!

Otherwise, I really enjoy reading all sorts of things, and I love listening to music.

I also spend my time watching films and TV series.

I’d prefer someone around my age, but I’m open to corresponding with anyone.

Reddit Messaging [26/M] Italy - strange little letters about ordinary life?

hello :)

strange person seeking another strange person, hopefully someone who also feels a bit too much and pretends to be normal in public

i’m 26, living in Italy, and recently came out of a long study/work/thesis cave. still recovering, still remembering that life is not only deadlines, exams, responsibilities and trying to sleep at a reasonable hour

for a long time my life was very focused on getting things done. useful, yes. healthy? debatable. somewhere along the way i lost a bit of the softer side of life. hobbies got quiet, social life became weird, and everything was always after this exam or after this deadline

and now the 'after' is here, i guess

i’d like to find a penpal for slow messages, honest thoughts, random little updates, and the kind of conversation that does not die after how was your day?

i’m not the most loud or socially magical person. i’m more calm at first, maybe a little shy, but not cold. i just take time to open up. once i feel comfortable, i can be playful, curious, and probably a little annoying in the “tell me tiny details about your day, i am invested now” way

i like music, books, philosophy, languages, writing, games, sports, art, coffee, walks, cooking, random late-night thoughts, and people who still notice pretty skies like it means something

i like people who can talk about normal life but also make it feel less flat. tell me about your city, your favourite song this week, the book you abandoned halfway, the weird thought you had while making coffee, the small thing that made your day better

i don’t need you to be perfect. actually please don’t be. perfect people make me suspicious

i like soft weird people. kind but not boring, silly but capable of deeper conversations, maybe a little dramatic about beauty, maybe someone who also saves nice sentences in their notes app and then forgets why

i’m open to starting with reddit messages or email. i like the idea of writing properly, not just sending dry one-line replies. but if we get comfortable, i’d also like voice calls someday. and if life allows it, maybe even meeting in person one day.

someone from europe is nice because time zones are easier, but anywhere is fine if the conversation feels natural

if you message me, tell me your age, where you’re from, and one small ordinary thing you find strangely beautiful

Snail Mail [22/F] trying to start this hobby :)

Hii, I’m a 22yo girl from Italy and I would like to get into this because it seems amazing and I have always wanted to have a penpal when I was little, so here I am now.

I would prefer someone from Europe because of the cost of stamps honestly, and also because it may take less time to get the letters (I hope!), but if the vibe is there I’d also like to have a penpal outside Europe :)

I’d like someone my same age or around my age at least, with whom I can talk about silly things and occasionally about more deep topics. right now, for example, I’d like to talk about autumn and share our autumn watchlists, tbr lists and bucket lists!

I’m actually very happy to start this but since I have a lot of things to do I’m still considering it.

thank you so much if you’ll reach out to me!! :)

Reddit Messaging [30/m] never have had any luck here .

30M from usa here, figured I’d give this another shot and see who’s out there. Haven’t had much luck on here really. They stay for a day or two then vanish.

I’ve got my life pretty together (steady job, gym 5x a week, can cook a decent meal when I feel like it), but realized making new friends as an adult is way harder than it should be. So here I am.

I’m big into gaming , anything from competitive stuff to just zoning out after a long day. (Been on a DBD and Fortnite kick lately) Outside of that, I’m usually at the gym, out hiking when the weather’s decent, or planning my next trip (even if it’s just a long weekend somewhere random).
Huge horror movie fan so if it’s creepy, twisted, or makes you question your life choices, I’m probably into it. Also a fan of dark humor, so bonus points if you can laugh at things we probably shouldn’t.
Pretty laid back, easy to talk to, and I learn more by doing than just talking about it. Just looking for good people to chat with, maybe game with, or even meet up if you’re local.

And also I have a trust issue thing when it comes to this dang app. To many catfishes or fakes so bear with me !

If any of that sounds like your vibe, feel free to reach out . Maybe tell me your top 5 horror movies or video games. Or even some things we have in common

Email [30/M] Looking for long-term pen pal

30-year-old teacher from the Southern U.S. looking for a long-term pen pal to write to on a semi-regular basis. Email is preferred. Open to any location, gender, or age. Just be a decent human being.

My interests are kind of all over the place. But, if it involves bigfoot, books, food, horror, movies, music, tattoos, or something weird you might stumble across on a deserted highway at 2 in the morning, you can safely bet I’ll like it. INFJ for you Myers-Briggs stans. I can cook a mean pancake and I’ve been known to dabble in story-writing and world-building.

Besides my coworkers, most of the people I encounter on a daily basis are in their teens. Needless to say, I’m craving adult conversation. Not looking for a one-off chat. Looking for something genuine and meaningful. Don’t hesitate to message me if you feel like we’d hit it off!

Reddit Messaging [38/M] Ireland. Monday Musings

Hello hello hello. How are we all doing today? I'm Ross. Irish. And a tad devilish. I do hope the start of your week has trucked along beautifully and without any strenuous endeavours.

I'm looking for someone to chat life. To chat death. To chat everything in between. Tell me about your day. Your week. Your year. Your relationship. Your lack thereof. Your hopes. Your desires. Anything that shall cross that curious mind of yours.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for myself. Human connection. An alternative perspective. Something outside my range of scope. Surprise me. Amuse me. Indulge me. Just don't be dull and we'll have fun.

If this seems like a scattershot post, its probably cos that's how my brain works. I might be great fun. I might be a bore. I dunno. Hit me up and find out.

Reddit Messaging [26/M] Looking for a pen-pal (first time doing this!)

Hi everyone! This is my first time here, and I’m really curious about trying out corresponding with a pen pal! I’m currently at a turning point in my life - I just graduated from university, and a lot is uncertain for me at the moment. I’d love to have someone with whom I can share my thoughts, and discover the world of somebody new! I enjoy spending time with my friends, although with many of them graduating and many coming from far away, it is sometimes difficult to keep regular contact.
I also would like to practice the art of writing in a longer format - going into more depth about my thoughts, plans, and what is going on in my life.

A bit about me: I enjoy hiking, cooking, piano, and I just recently got into bouldering. I also recently got introduced to crochet, and although I am still an absolute beginner, it’s something that I find interesting and would like to get to know better. Also, if you’re a movie nerd, I’m open to recommendations ^^

If you’d be interested in being my pen pal, send me a DM!

Snail Mail [27/NB] Let’s build connections through the art of sharing narratives through snail mail

Hi everyone! I’m looking for those who enjoy writing letters and want to build a genuine connection. Right now I’m currently writing to a few penpals and I’ve been having a lovely time! I love learning about people through their letters.

I'm hoping to find more lovely people to write to! I want to learn about you through your letters. Tell me about what you did today, what you learned, something fun or not so fun, a cool experience, something new you tried, etc.

I tend to write pretty long letters, and sometimes they tend to get even longer (a few of my penpals can vouch haha). I’m a huge yapper on paper, but not so much through messaging/email as I get social burnout super fast. My letters tend to contain little bits of stationery, art prints, and other small goodies that I pick along the way (usually from events that I table at).

Here’s some things about me! Im 27, neurodivergent, queer, and non binary (AFAB). I’m a Chinese artist from Oregon. I do art full time which means I tend to be overworking myself a lot on multiple projects. I'm always creating new products and art prints for events I table at. I used to do fashion and portrait photography in college, but after my camera went under, I haven’t really taken many photos. I’m currently working on a comic. Mainly just story boarding and writing the story itself. Eventually I’d like to illustrate the comic and perhaps get it published one day. I also have been writing a game (also just the story and scripts) as I am not well versed with game coding or coding in general.

I love art and I’m a huge anti-ai person. We, artists, have actively been impacted negatively by ai. It can be rough when we table at events and conventions, and somehow an ai merch seller somehow was able to slither their way in.

Besides art, I love exploring new cities, even places I personally haven't gone to here [Oregon]. I'm a huge foodie and tea lover! I have over 100+ places saved that I want to go and try. Despite being an awkward person at social gatherings, I do really enjoy networking with other creatives and businesses that align with my moral practices. I love listening to music, reading poetry, comics, watching shows and movies (including anime), and playing video games.

  • favorite shows: psych, OA, and scandal.
  • favorite anime: apothecary diaries, soul eater, sakamoto days, mashle, yona of the dawn
  • favorite video games: split fiction, detroit becomes human, lost in random, party games like mario party 7 + overcooked

I'm open to writing to anywhere around the world as long as our countries are both accepting mail from each other. I do ask that if there's a period of time or you don't want to write back to me, please let me know, rather than just ghosting me. If you think we'd be a great fit, please don't hesitate to reach out!! I can't wait to write to you!

Snail Mail [26/F] looking for pen pal

Hii!! 26/f here looking for a pen pal ✉️ i recently got a PO box specifically for this, so i figured i might as well put it to use. i’m into baking, spooky things, books, plants, movies, and generally collecting little things that make life more fun. i’d love to meet someone i genuinely click with and build a long-term friendship where we can talk about basically anything, random daily life updates, deep conversations, dumb little stories, whatever.
i’ve also seen people on here doing more of a diary-style letter exchange, sending little trinkets, stickers, photos, etc., or even passing a journal/junk journal back and forth, and honestly i think that sounds really fun. i’d be totally down for something like that too. no pressure for perfectly written letters or anything super formal, just looking for something fun and genuine that we can both look forward to. :)
if any of this sounds like your vibe, feel free to message me! tell me a little about yourself and what you’re into so we can see if we’d get along

Snail Mail [40/F] Shared creative project by post

UK only, sorry (for practical reasons)

This is not a classical penpals post, hope that's okay. I'm looking for someone who'd like to do a little creative project together through the post.

The idea is that we each buy a notebook and send it to the other person. Once a month, we fill in a page or two with bits about our lives: little stories, observations, favourite quotes, things we've been enjoying, random facts... and, of course, some art! Stickers, drawings, stamps - whatever fits the mood of the moment.

Then at the end of the month we swap the notebooks, and add to the new notebook the following month.

After a year, we'd each have a kind of collaborative scrapbook to keep: half our life, half someone else's, with our thoughts and artwork woven together.

You absolutely don't need to be "good at art". I'm more interested in having a reason to make something every month and seeing what another person's imagination does!

And this is just my starting idea. I'm very open to changing it or coming up with something completely different all together!

The main things I'm looking for are:

✨ a little bit of creativity every month

✨ getting to know someone gradually

✨ building a friendship

✨ having something tangible that we made together at the end of it!

If you like the sound of this, DM me a bit about yourself and what you like making/doing, and let's see where this journey takes us 😊

Reddit Messaging [34/F] Maybe my favorite person is someone I haven't met yet

I’m 34F from Europe, a single mom, and I’ve been thinking how weird it is that there are probably people out there we’d get along with ridiculously well but will never meet unless one of us randomly says hello. I write poetry about real experiences, I’m fascinated by psychology and people, and I love conversations that somehow go from something completely stupid to surprisingly personal 😅 I’m not looking for romance or someone who has to message every day, just someone interesting, funny and genuine who actually wants to get to know another person. Skip the résumé and tell me something about you that usually doesn’t make it into introductions.

Snail Mail & Postcard [20/F] Just delivered my first ever mail and I'm motivated to write more! Anyone interested?

Looking for penpals to exchange letters, stickers, postcards and more!! I'm in university taking Multimedia Arts program and I collect art prints or make them my self. Would definitely love to be pen pal with someone who's also interested in them!! No ghosting please and be responsible.

More about me:

- I like watching anime and I used to be obsessed about it back when I was a teenager. Nowadays I don't watch anime as often as I used to. When I do, I usually just rewatch series or movies and my favorite is Natsume's Book of Friends!

- I love reading and would frequently visit my local library and bookshops. When it comes to physical books, I prefer documentary type of anything based on true stories. I do read manga and manwha as well, current favorite is The S Class that I Raised 🙌

- I'm a digital artist but this year, I want to improve in acrylic painting and watercolor painting as I'm planning to join an exhibition! I will send you some landscape watercolors that I do 🍀

- I love whimsical stuffs! Like trinkets, collecting coins, paper currency from another country, pressed flowers and leaves, etc.

- I'm from Philippines by the way and my current favorite color is sky blue/ baby blue. Honestly, I like every colors as long as they look pleasant to look at XD. I personally believe it's more fun to have wide color variations with cohesion!
