This made me laugh today..

Not particularly exciting subject matter, but I'm trying to get the best results and get some practice in ahead of an upcoming trip where I'll be doing some landscapes.

Pentax K5, aperture priority mode

F/13, ISO 200, WB = Cloudy, Color settings = landscape, center metering, and shutter speed was running 1/200 to 1/250 for most shots. I just picked two that were representative to post.

I'm reasonably pleased with the results, but would certainly appreciate any feedback or tips to improve.

A photographer friend of mine is going to sell his Pentax K1 (I don't know if it's a mark i, ii or iii).

Dude has a lot of pro lenses and I am the first one to have a chance to buy his gear (or part of it).

Now, I mostly photograph on analog camera's and I love my Pentax MX and Super A. I also have some nice vintage lenses.

Sometimes I take my digital Nikon D5200 with me for some fast work. It has the 18-55 Tamron kit lens in it.

I have fallen in love with the idea of owning a digital Pentax, but i'm still conflicted, because it's no cheap camera and I don't know how digital camera's pre woned by pro photographers hold up in the future.

I love to read your thoughts on this matter.

Pretty psyched that I found this at thrift store for 15 bucks.

Light meter works, shutter works, needed a quick clean. The film door has some rust but I will be loading a roll of film to test soon 😁

I find this lens to be good. Optics are top notch. MF is terrible, and it matches the reviews.

I do mainly low light photography and daytime macro photography, I currently have a k3 a lot of the time I have to do 10-20 second exposures on a tripod to get the image quality I prefer because it does not handle iso that well, is the k3 iii really worth the upgrade in terms of a night photography camera? I hear the k3 iii handles iso very very well.

Is it really that good?

Color shots are with Sony A7CII, BW shots are with monochrome-converted Sony A7SII (monochrome2dng used to bypass demosaicing)

I have a p30 that I've had for years, I love it. But I want to try pushing/pulling film.

Are there any Pentax models with a LM that don't use dx code?

Google was useless (ai overview trying to suggest things that didn't meet the brief)

Any help would be great.
