Just want to vent my frustration. So I'm at day 11/5 on my first playthrough and while i was doing a confidant event with Akechi Goro i suddenly thought "hey he looks pretty similar to Light Yagami from Death Note". So i looked it up for reference and like the 5th result on Google images was a post from this sub WHICH GOOGLE DIDN'T BLUR ALTHOUGH IT WAS SPOILER that compared them... and one of Goro's characteristics apparently is that he kills people for his father and will betray the Phantom Thieves, so i imagine it will be a major plot twist in game. FUUUCK!

During sae niijima's palace, constantly, the phantom thieves are acting all innocent whenever Akechi does anything slightly against the casino. Whenever he makes bets or borrows a bunch of chips, it's like they act like they're actually breaking the law. It's probably the dumbass acts that they're playing on but it gets tiring how they act, most of it unneeded.

Why can I update the compendium with the same max level, max stat personas? Same skills, same everything. I just thought it was weird. Is there something I'm missing?

The question sounds ridiculous, since it’s essentially a game about teenagers who are superheroes in a cognitive parallel dimension... But there are certain things that don't make sense if you think about them twice (for example, bathing and doing laundry are optional; you can't brush your teeth yet still date the prettiest girl in school, Ann, despite the lack of personal hygiene... I know that stuff is implied to happen off-screen, but it’s funny to imagine it. Or the simple fact that when you buy weapons like swords or rifles at Iwai’s shop, no matter how big they are, they fit into your tiny school backpack, like Arthur Morgan’s satchel or Doraemon’s pocket). Just funny little things like that which don't make sense upon reflection, do you have any examples?

Let's say everything is the same, but here's one change: Makoto wears a gaiter that covers the lower half of her face on her Queen outfit.

How would you feel about this change? Would her outfit be better or not?

The basic idea is an AU that go through the game but when Joker wakes up in the Velvet room all the Phantom thieves (except morgana and Akechi) are prisoners in the cell next him, can you imagine their surprise when the people from their dreams are real and all have the same dream.

I was just joking when I chose the option to snitch on my friends to Sae—and then I actually got killed by Akechi? You total jerk—I completely messed up your stats and skills, and you stayed in the party without me ever using you!

So the only game ive played is P5R and i’ve been looking into the other games out of curiosity and ive been told they are part of the same continuity.

But in other games, the way they release their personas is different, they dont have concepts like palaces, they get their personas in different ways etc.

so how is this possible? does the way cognition manifests changes over time? what’s the in universe explanation

As the title says... finally beat P5R, this was my first ever persona game. Holy crap I loved it. Ive never been big on turn based battle games but I played the crap out of this, even added music to my regular station.

My heart hurts after the ending. Im moving onto p3Reload currently. I wanted to ask yall what things I should expect, not expect, be open to in comparison to p5r while playing this one. I barely started, just awakened my persona, going through a bunch of cutscenes currently. Would you say that confidants and stats wise is this game more forgiving or less forgiving than persona 5 Royal? What sorta changes *spoiler free please* should I expect? Thanks in advance! Can't wait to have my heart broken all over again from what ive been told l

I am aiming to make Satanael my "go-go gadget wipe their healthbar persona", which means I want to just switch to it, maybe buff once or twice and then demolish most enemies

I know that it isn't always this simple with all the bosses, but this my first time actually spending time to make a strong persona so pls don't hate me

This is what I have have and why I chose it:

- Victory Cry: as I said, I want to wipe enemies without thinking, which means also not having to worry about SP/HP between enemies

- Megidolaon: General purpose damage ability, I know there are some other multi-hit sever damage almighty abilities, but from what I understand, they are persona-specific

- Tyrant's Mind: This I chose because I saw it and thought it was a no brainer, since it can buff both magic and physical/gun

- Riot's Gun: This I just got automatically, I didn't actually plan to have it

- Heat Riser/Charge/Concentrate: Buffs to give to Satanael or teamates to be sure the enemies get oblitarated

- Gigantomachia: I got this because I thought that having physical damage could be useful

Before anyone insults me, I know I should have gotten more passives, but I wasn't sure which to get

Any suggestions?

I know there is a few guides and I’ve tried to follow them to the best of my ability, but I need to know if I screwed myself over getting into this boss fight. I probably did but I’d like a second opinion
I’m on 9/19, level 43 with Morgana, Makoto and Haru in my party with the personas pictured in my roster.
I managed to get past the tall blue workers but find myself stuck at the green guys afterwards. I have a few matagamas and other items but I probably didn’t prep as much as I should be. I also have only 1 save file 😬 with 80 hours on it. Help!!

So I finished playing P5R some time back, and I'm currently looking into playing another JRPG (on the switch 2).

I was considering P3R (I know, I just barely missed the sale 😭), but I just saw that another game "Metaphor Refantazio" will be coming out on Nov 12. Also P4R seems to be coming next February.

What would you recommend I play next? There's also P6 coming in 2027, so this is slightly biasing me into picking a Persona game to have more experience/background before playing P6.

For reference, I tried Nier Automata for a couple of hours, but it really didn't click with me. I'm not sure if it's just not for me, if it's the Switch graphics on this one, or something else... Low-key preferred Bayonetta 3 combat and pace (which for me felt the most similar).

The Lovers Arcana route will always be my favorite in the franchise, but one thing I noticed that sets Ann apart from Yukari or Rise is that she didn't develop an emotional attachment to Joker...

Yukari in Persona 3, for instance, was extremely attached to Makoto because of how important he became to her (basically, her first love was a blue-haired emo guy); with Rise in Persona 4, it’s glaringly obvious (she was constantly calling Yu "Senpai").

But Ann’s case is different; she doesn't follow that same pattern (she isn't constantly glued to the protagonist, nor does she get jealous or anything like that). The only thing is that she is quite flirtatious, subtle, sure, but flirtatious nonetheless. I’m not saying Ann is a bad Confidant or that the ShuAnn ship is invalid, far from it; Ann is one of my favorite Confidants, and I do ship her with Joker (actually i am a user from r/cuckthecat).

I just wonder why she is the only Lovers Arcana character who doesn't have that same level of emotional attachment to the protagonist that Yukari or Rise did.

So I’m past sae’s palace and I finally maxed out hifumi’s confidant and unlocked the advanced fusion for lucifer, when I saw it was level 93 I decided I’d get it so I started fusing all the other persona’s needed until I learn that metatron is only unlocked if you maxed out Akechi’s confidant which I didn’t do and he’s gone now. Am I now just perma locked out of that persona now? It’s a little bit frustrating honestly but I at least have Satan fused. I’m just wondering if I’m perma locked out of fusing lucifer now or if I can still fuse metatron somehow. I’m on person 5 royal btw

I was always pissed by people glazing turn based game then I said to my self "why not try It out yourself " and I began persona5 royal after asking about the best starter turn based game .

Right now I finished kaneshiro palace and I am having so much fun I disliked the game in the beginning especially kamoshida's palace bc it wasn't very family friendly and I play in the living room and the palace was soo difficult, anyways this game is definitely worth playing it's soo low cortisol
