The Lovers Arcana route will always be my favorite in the franchise, but one thing I noticed that sets Ann apart from Yukari or Rise is that she didn't develop an emotional attachment to Joker...

Yukari in Persona 3, for instance, was extremely attached to Makoto because of how important he became to her (basically, her first love was a blue-haired emo guy); with Rise in Persona 4, it’s glaringly obvious (she was constantly calling Yu "Senpai").

But Ann’s case is different; she doesn't follow that same pattern (she isn't constantly glued to the protagonist, nor does she get jealous or anything like that). The only thing is that she is quite flirtatious, subtle, sure, but flirtatious nonetheless. I’m not saying Ann is a bad Confidant or that the ShuAnn ship is invalid, far from it; Ann is one of my favorite Confidants, and I do ship her with Joker (actually i am a user from r/cuckthecat).

I just wonder why she is the only Lovers Arcana character who doesn't have that same level of emotional attachment to the protagonist that Yukari or Rise did.

seeing these two early game when walking around in school felt so nice for some reason it was absolutely my favorite detail but then it got removed after unlocking makoto i think 💔💔

Bec yeah....how can you truly trust someone who has the power to manipulate your emotions.

You will never know for sure if the feelings you're feeling is your own, or was a result of manipulation.

Btw... I picked Hifumi on this game

And yeah, I don't think I should ever reveal to her. Esp how she saw how easily it is to change her mom's feelings.

Same argument for telepaths... but NGL, ill take the risk with Emma Frost lolz ...she's my fav marvel character.

The question sounds ridiculous, since it’s essentially a game about teenagers who are superheroes in a cognitive parallel dimension... But there are certain things that don't make sense if you think about them twice (for example, bathing and doing laundry are optional; you can't brush your teeth yet still date the prettiest girl in school, Ann, despite the lack of personal hygiene... I know that stuff is implied to happen off-screen, but it’s funny to imagine it. Or the simple fact that when you buy weapons like swords or rifles at Iwai’s shop, no matter how big they are, they fit into your tiny school backpack, like Arthur Morgan’s satchel or Doraemon’s pocket). Just funny little things like that which don't make sense upon reflection, do you have any examples?

plus, i came up that i like the idea of not getting involved romantically with a teammate for this particular game would make a lot of sense RP and lorewise.

plus, she's also from a diff school. makes more sense in keeping the relationship lowkey and never mentioned in story

and of course, goes without saying, i like hifumi... there's just so many good options but i went with her thinking it makes the most sense for my RP

As the title says... finally beat P5R, this was my first ever persona game. Holy crap I loved it. Ive never been big on turn based battle games but I played the crap out of this, even added music to my regular station.

My heart hurts after the ending. Im moving onto p3Reload currently. I wanted to ask yall what things I should expect, not expect, be open to in comparison to p5r while playing this one. I barely started, just awakened my persona, going through a bunch of cutscenes currently. Would you say that confidants and stats wise is this game more forgiving or less forgiving than persona 5 Royal? What sorta changes *spoiler free please* should I expect? Thanks in advance! Can't wait to have my heart broken all over again from what ive been told l

For me I really enjoyed Ryujis confidant! There are others I really liked such as Makoto, Ann, Futaba and Akechi but for me Ryuji and Ren are a good pairing that is a mix of entertainment and fun as well as exploring some pretty serious topics!

I haven’t played persona 4 (and I know everyone likes to talk about Yu and Yosuke being the best of the 3 games so I’m excited about that) but having played persona 3 after finishing 5 I feel like Junpei and Makoto don’t have the same connection that Ryuji and Ren share and it sort of makes me appreciate ryujis social link more.

My least favourite may be one of the links like Kawakami, ohya chihaya. I never really liked them from the offset considering they were all significantly older than Ren. I thought the dynamic was really weird and I put off doing their social links for a lot of the game. No hate on people who like Kawakami or some of those confidants I just think the whole dynamics are weird from the perspective of Ren.
