My hours are taking a hit because I'm not selling enough autoship & especially VCP consistently enough.

Any tips for how to sell? The biggest thing I struggle with is working up the courage to actually bring it up to the customer.

My pitches are usually fairly decent. For autoship I've been pointing out the specific dollar and cent decrease for the item and usually when it's larger bags of dry food. It's not as hard as VCP imo.

Also with VCP idk how to get around the whole "it's a yearly commitment thing", do I just lie and say you can cancel any time? 😭😭 technically you can, you still gotta pay for the full 12 months though...

Hi! I'm aiming to transfer to a store in another state in an upcoming move. I'm having trouble finding info on how to do so that's consistent, including differing answers from my own management. My GM does know I wish to transfer, but if possible I want them as little involved in the process as possible

1. I was instructed to reach out to the store closer to the move when I brought it up, but who and how? I see posts recommending reaching out to that store's DM but what way? Email? How do I obtain their professional email and what should be the contents of said email? Should it be as if I'm applying or the relevant info (time at the company, current location, etc)

2. What if I'm not sure of the exact day I'll be able to start? I know /roughly/ when I will finish the drive to this other state, and assume a few days to unpack and settle in. Would a rough estimate be enough or would they be unlikely to accept given that?

3. I realize this may vary by state but I'm not comfortable providing where to and where from if possible, so if there's no concrete answer given that my bad, but do I need to be a legal resident of the state I'm moving to or can I apply for the transfer as long as I'm getting that done soon after? I plan to do that asap upon getting there

non managers at my store got two shirts so far (fair, it’s a lotta fabric to order) and while one held up the first couple days this one fell apart in a single 8 hour shift. Holy moly it’s so THIN!! There was a thread that was like 10 inches long that was dangling off me by the end of my shift. I went to cut it and the whole bottom is falling apart. The thread itself is also really thin.

I genuinely wanted to give the shirts a chance, but I post this cause I want higher ups who look at the subreddit to see the quality of the uniforms in hopes of a change back to the originals OR better quality new shirts.

idk how the minimum age requirement to work there is 18 but they pay is non-livable— let alone the hours. as a DT, i can’t be full time but full time isn’t even 40 an hour so what’s the point.

It’s a hit or miss. Either someone has a vet prescription or they’ll be calm and understanding when they don’t have one.

But there are times when we’ve gotten screamed at for them not having a prescription and I’m not able to go through with the transaction.

One time, a man brought up prescription foods. I said I needed proof of a vet’s prescription. He didn’t have one and I explained to him I couldn’t do the transaction. He screamed at me and said “the cashier let me purchase this last week”. My manager told him the same thing we need to see proof. The customer yelled, “do you not understand english?” Then said “f*ck you” and stormed off. I’d love to know who this mystery cashier is because it seems to be consistent with a lot of customers having purchased these items without proof, lol.

Another customer threw her cart against the register and walked out of the store when I refused to bypass without a prescription. Other times, people have told me there’s no sign or label saying the food is only prescriptions. People wanting me to bypass. Or “Petsmart doesn’t do this”.

Hi friends! Since they updated the time clock feature and had us do the alt-tab work around, we can’t access the actual computer to try to fix things. We constantly get stuck on donation screens or the kiosk not commuting with the computer. We used to just be able to go into task master or scan all the codes to reconnect the scanners, but now we can’t do any of that. Have you found any ways to solve these problems in a pinch without shutting down the whole system or unplugging the kiosk? I’m so tired of jumping to another register for that one not working either 😭

I primarily use dayforce to keep track of my shifts because my manager is really good about actually putting the shifts in. Only issue is ive noticed recently dayforce seems to be acting up. I accidentally no call no showed today because of it and its driving me insane. Im almost 99% of the time scheduled thursdays and sundays for cleanings which i LOVE, and yesterday I checked my app to see if I could sleep in today or not because i hadnt seen anything pop up yet. It showed that i wasnt scheduled today so i figured they were giving me a mini break and i could sleep in. Woke up today to 3 missed calls from my manager and texts asking where i am and if im okay. Im still in the first 90 days so I might be lowkey screwed because of that goddamn point system thing (i had to call out a couple days a few weeks ago due to an emergency). Is anyone else dealing with it or is am i just going crazy

i’m so obsessed with the new feature where it puts the money right back onto the card the customer paid with. i’ve had so many people who are clearly doing fraudulent returns and they go “oh i don’t have that card anymore, can i get it on this one?” NO YOU CANNOT
