Math is red and it shouldn’t be that hard.

Math is, ironically, the most emotional subject in school. Red for rage. "What do you mean there's letters now!!??".

I agree with red for math. It was all downhill when I didn't remember my multiplication tables, now I have ptsd.

Man this whole thread is depressing

I didn’t have recess for a year because of multiplication tables.

Well…at least you know them now? hopefully?

I obtained employment in a field that doesn’t give a shit what I do in the clock as long as my work is done. Eat, sleep, play video games,  read a book.

If my work is done, my time is mine.

I was asking about multiplication tables but cool

I don't. There are computers/calculators everywhere so remembering multiplication table is useless

That’s embarrassing

I'm not embarrassed. Learning all of this in school (probably) had it's purpose, but this purpose is long gone for me

Of course you aren’t

You dont know the half of it lol. My Marine core drill Sargent turned cop was NOT good at teaching me math or have patience for it. I have an artist brain, it wasn't even my choice lol

The whole "you're left brained or right brained" thing is a myth and frankly really harmful to perpetuate

I didn't say anything about that, im just stating my reality. I still cant do simple math in my head, but creativity flows effortlessly through me. Throw numbers at me and I short circuit. But I am a left handed as well💁‍♂️

My point is someone being good at one thing doesn't have anything to do with them being bad at the other. Your ability to be creative doesn't suck the math ability out of you.

I faked being sick every day in third grade to avoid being called up during math and having to multiply in front of others. Found out in adulthood I have dyscalculia.

Im glad you got some sort of an answer! I finally got treated for adhd at 36, but ive learned the rabbit hole goes deeper. Missed a factory update at some point.

I'm a similar boat (should have chosen the mystery box). I was in the gifted program, I didn't get treated for ADHD until college, and I only recently found out I had special accommodation plans all throughout school. Everything makes a lot more sense now that it turns out I've always been kind of [Family Guy: Season 4, Episode 6].

There was a famous vampire who could not recall how many necks he had bitten - the infamous Count Dyscalcula.
