Star Trek uniforms:

Gold or Green: Command Blue: Science/Health (Medical also has a white option) Red: Engineering/Security/Communications

Next generation flipped the script with Red being the Command color and Gold representing operational roles.

This web page has a good breakdown

Nobody should be green in Star Trek that’s just wrong

(except that one time Deanna Troi wore one with the miniskirt, that can stay)

So science draws more cards and/or applies a slow effect to the enemies. Got it.

Science blue, Math red. The other two didn’t matter because I was terrible at them.

Life Science is green, Earth Science is red, and Physical Science is blue

Science is green because plants are green and science is frequently associated with biology

Science is blue because physics are blue.

It's just common sense.

The atom symbol is one of the most common signs for science too, commonly represented in blue
