My son does - and I just wonder if this will continue for the rest of his life. I have brought it up with him that he doesn’t have to do that, but he states that it’s the most comfortable so 🤷♀️

Squatting and pooping is the most natural form for humans and reduces a bunch of issues like hemmroids. They did studies for this at Stanford and Harvard. Unfortunately, culture is a stronger factor than science. People simply dont question things.
Your son goes naked because its way easier and more comfortable knowing you do not have to deal with stuff like your pants, your shirt, anything else that might touch the toilet cover or seat.
Your son will probably do well in life since they can see what society tells them to do, then try things themselves and figure out what works better.
I went to college with a dude who had to get buck ass naked to poop. When we lived in the frat house he’d hang his shirt and pants on the little hook in the stall lol. Even had to do it at the Pizza Hut buffet all hung over one day
He is fully aware he doesn’t have to, he might also be fully aware that is fucking weird but that’s not going to stop him. Doesn’t stop me, and I can’t be bothered to get out of the habit.
my daughter too. from the first time she ever did it on the grown up toilet seat until now. absolutely never with any cloths. jewelry can stay on. only one time in winter when it was really cold she tried keeping socks on.
I used to have to get naked. I did stop (unless it's a real struggle bus affair), but it did take until I was about 40. It lined up with getting bidets/washlets in every room, so maybe it's a response to not feeling clean? Idk.
