It's a reference to a Reddit post where a man lives an entire 20-something year fulfilling life, marriage, kids, success, happiness and so on, and then notices his living room lamp looks funny, and wakes up to find out it was all inside a single dream (coma?).
He had been in a football player assault incident I believe. And he took many minutes to wake up from being knocked out. Long enough that first responders were there to help him. He woke up and realized his whole adult life was a dream. And that he'd never see his wife or kids again. Although once in awhile he'll have a dream where he can see his 5 year old son in his peripherals, never clearly. If I remember correctly.
