Some guy was in a coma and lived a long life with a wife and kids, but one day the lamp looked weird to him and he woke up from his coma a couple hours later.

he wasnt in a coma, he got knocked out for some seconds/minutes and started a whole life with chasing a girl, getting married to her, got kids. this whole life went for about 10 years - some day he noticed the lamp looked weird and he got obsessed with it. would only stare at it for a long time - until he woke up and was back from his knock out and got deeply depressed after cause he missed his wife/kids

Why is it bullshit though? Stories like these keep getting shared regularly by people waking up from comas or near death experiences.

I assume people who just went through something traumatic as this would've other things on their mind than to invent stories for attention.

I have contention with the idea of it being over a period of years. I dont doubt he hallucinated having a wife and kids and a lamp but the story lacks detail. What was he doing for all that time. Thats such a long time he should have been learning new skills, meeting many new people, doing things, but it doesnt sound that way. I think people would absolutely make up stories for attention online.
