Fine line between being pleasantly cocky and a big dumb shithead but my man is walking it well

This reminds me of a comedy sketch I saw years ago.

Two guys invited a bunch of girls to their apartment. While they're waiting for them to arrive, one of the guys says to the other:

"You know, girls like assholes that dominate"

The girls finally arrive and tell the guys that they want to take a bath and they would like them to rub their backs.

The other guy says: "Go fuck yourself, bitches!"

Boring through your mind, through your tummy, through your anus, eels!

Really? This is good?????

u/NegativeKarmaVegan 23h ago

If you tend to make jokes and you're handsome it might work.

u/Youpi_Yeah 23h ago

No, no it’s not

u/Ghostnaldo 23h ago

I've picked up girls with way worse "one liners" than this guy in the screenshot...

Honestly, if she's interested, almost anything will work; and if she's not, almost anything will come out as creepy/douchey.

Basically this, if she was interested before the conversation you have to fuck up pretty hard for her to say no.

20

u/Quixotic_Seal 22h ago

I’m gonna go out on a crazy limb here and say that adding “concentrate” to this exchange makes it pretty universally creepy/douchey.

Agreed, I really think this sub is a horrible place to actually gauge these things lol. This place is full of weirdos that would admire weird shit like this.

1

u/WalkFreeeee 21h ago

Yeah, the line would be perfect ending at it's your turn now lmao

6

u/After_Profession2222 22h ago

This is true. If women are very interested, it’s more about you fucking up. lol

21

u/illepic 22h ago

The trick is to be really really really good looking.

11

u/lettsten 11h ago

Nah, you can have charisma without being very good looking. The "you have to be very good looking" thing is a lie a lot of people on reddit tell themselves to explain why they're unsuccessful, but it's not necessarily looks that's the bottleneck

5

u/Elite_AI 11h ago

Hell, the vast majority of "unsuccessful" men on Reddit just have social anxiety and never flirt with women to begin with. How can you expect to bag a girl if you never flirt or ask anyone out.

3

u/lettsten 10h ago

Spot on

1

u/Aunt_Llama 9h ago

Eh, my husband didn't flirt with me. I asked him out. It can go both ways sometimes.

2

u/ImmaculatePizza 3h ago

If you're gonna say "Concentrate." as a one word message you'd better be Jacob Elordi good looking and even then it's gonna take a few drinks

1

u/lettsten 3h ago

Why do you believe that looks is the only thing that matters that much for attraction? Is it the only thing that matters that much for you to be attracted to someone else?

2

u/skepticalbob 21h ago

Did you instruct them to concentrate or no? Because that's where the wheels fell off and he probably just got blocked.

1

u/Elite_AI 11h ago

Yeah true but you're unlikely* to get someone interested in you by saying dorky stuff like this. Dating isn't a game where one slip-up kills you...unless you're in the opening few messages.

*Not impossible, mind.

I like it how this thread is basically split 50/50 on whether it's good or not

-1

u/NegativeEBITD 21h ago

And 40% of it's incels who think confidence and guiding a conversation back out of negativity is "asshole behavior"

-2

u/EkrishAO 21h ago edited 14h ago

From looking at profiles it seems it's mostly salty men projecting about incels, while women are just like "yea that's fine, have you never flirted before?"

3

u/quanate 21h ago

definitely not

-4

u/Shulk2089 23h ago

To you

-5

u/that-gamer- 22h ago

Yes it is. Women love carefree confidence.

-1

u/travazzzik 21h ago

Seems fine and honest considering she's the one who insecurely brought it up, it's not like he started bragging about picking up girls first...

3

u/StrawDog- 21h ago

Fuck no.. this sounds like the kind of shit that middle-aged facebook bots post under the hiking pictures of 17 year olds.

If this is what qualifies as game then women have become much, much stupider since I was last dating.

7

u/Warm-Mortgage-458 22h ago

Other guys think so. Women don't.

4

u/potpourri_sludge 23h ago

This looks good to other men. To women this is a block.

11

u/Dry-Zucchini-1700 20h ago

Woman here - thought it was hilarious 🤷🏻

1

u/Maximillion322 22h ago

It’s not good but whether or not it works depends on more factors than that

1

u/milkwithsplenda 2h ago

this would work on me yeah

-1

u/a-new-3arth 20h ago

yes, the woman started it by attacking him. imagine you ask a woman "how many guys you tried to fuck before". He just matched her energy

17

u/Many-Cartographer278 23h ago

No the fuck he is not haha

11

u/odysseyofocelots 22h ago

Walking it well? Dude is an absolute caricature of a 14 year old who sits at home watching Andrew Tate all day thinking this is smooth and alpha or something lmao.

3

u/Adventurous_Year_735 22h ago

I think you're thinking too hard. It's just kind of a funny response. Subverted expectations and did a tongue-in-cheek response.

1

u/Shwiftygains 21h ago

It's a person he may very well never meet and or see again. You may think you're being pleasantly cocky with someone who's thinking the opposite to themselves and a lot of times you have to be a dumb shithead to be pleasantly cocky🤷‍♂️

1

u/Zorak9379 21h ago

Actually all these dudes are big dumb shitheads and this is why so many women end up with awful guys

1

u/Elite_AI 11h ago

but my man is walking it well

Everyone has different tastes, I suppose.

1

u/Secret_Account07 22h ago

He went back and forth with every message. I think he landed on the good side

1

u/PainterEarly86 12h ago

I never understood how being cocky is attractive. I personally am much more attracted to someone who is shy. Shows they are willing to be vulnerable

I understand people like confidence but I feel that the vast majority of the time, people are just narcissists

1

u/Jygglewag 12h ago

yeah when I see a confident/cocky type I immediately feel like they used to bully socially awkward kids in middle school.

These types of cocky people need an ego check, no matter the gender.
