Discussion First time Free runner

I always go with Assassin, but I had so many projectile weapons this time that I thought I’d give it a go. What should I focus on? Is Fireblast worth upgrading, or should I put my points into the whip and armour instead? Unfortunately, I haven’t found an artifact or ring yet.

fireblast is definitely worth upgrading, it is mostly regarded as the 2nd best damage wand. whip has rather poor scaling. it is nice to have but not what i'd spend my upgrades on. if you think you can hold till troll quest, i'd use one troll upgrade on the crossbow and the other on the wand. i'd get my fireblast to +7 where it's max charges get capped, then invest in crossbow. and you should buy the darts, they are great utility items and you need them to utilise the crossbow if you want to.

Use the crossbow, and go back to the previous shops for darts; that'll be a great combo for freerunners.

By the way, even if you don't have the necessary strength, the crossbow's passive ability is still effective, so don't hesitate to use it for ranged attack runs!
