Identification: it is Virginia creeper! Thanks everyone!

Hi, sorry yall for the unusual plant ID. Please (kindly) tell me if this is unwelcome here because I realize that this is only tangentially relevant but I’m honestly not sure where else to try and track this down at..

The image is of a kamon, a Japanese family crest. It was thought by someone in the family that it was a chrysanthemum and I couldn’t shake how poorly that sat with me because as many varieties of chrysanthemums there are out there, none of them resemble this image.

It reminds me of trillium, but I have such a limited base of knowledge for what plant this could be.

Any takers? I was planning on also posting to r/whatsthisplant

EDIT: Thank you for the many comments; I was not planning on getting rid of it unless it was invasive (which, I have been repeatedly assured, it isn’t), but I will be moving my cat’s tether anchor to keep it out of her radius.

If it helps, we have bamboo nearby and it’s between a bamboo forest and a strip of pine forest near a creek.

This came up in a garden bed next to my driveway by the front door. I was going to rip it out and paused… “leaves of three let it be”…

My husband has a pile of dirt in our driveway that he has been slowly moving to regrade part of our house. This particular part of the pile has been sitting around for a while and it started growing something that doesn't look like a typical weed that we have around here. He has decided to water this plant to ensure it stays alive because he's silly like that.

I would love to know what it is! Is it an invasive weed he should just toss with the yard waste? Is it a cool shrub or tree that we should actually move and keep alive?

I ripped maybe like 20lb of this shit off my fence and side of house because my siblings like playing in the backyard. Some of them are so thick it’s completely taken over some small trees and looks reddish with lots of roots growing onto the walls and floor.
