Yes I did break the sheath I was confused and wanted to confirm it was a flower 😭

Is it normal to bust out with a flower rather than leaves right after planting? The first leaf hasn't even unfurled yet 🫩

A praying mantis has taken residency on my spider plant. Every morning/afternoon/night I go and see where it is living at the moment. It has been here daily for about a month! It showed up after a caterpillar murdered my OG spider plant :( I believe it is guarding OGs offspring 😂

Pics of it hiding, chilling, and added pics of my beautiful spider baby that I love soooooooo much!!!!!

Success Baby Alocasia!

Accidental success. My Alocasia zebrina had an underwhelming few years at my old house. Moving to my new house, it spent the winter in my bright, slightly cooler but sometimes quite humid, bathroom; then moved to my much brighter, far warmer living room. A few feeds and a lot of sunshine, and voila, many baby Alocasia!

Help Why is he sad now :(

Post image

He had been thriving for several years (in this same location and time of year so its not sunlight or temp related) but now he is losing leaves left and right. He is watered appropriately according to my plant care app (non ai) and his soil was changed recently. He is always droopy now and yellowing. The picture didn’t quite capture the discoloration but oh well

Help Should I be concerned?

I’ve had this plant for a few months now. Like with all my other plants, I check the soil and water it when it starts to feel dry (usually avg. 2 weeks). However in the last month it’s lost two leaves and I see some are starting to slightly change colour / mottle in colour. I’m still seeing growth, it didn’t reach the floor when I got it. I’m not using plant food. It’s in a bright spot that gets maybe 1-2 hours of direct sunlight in the late afternoon. Any help or tips would be appreciated - thank you!

Is it too late to redirect this plant? I got a clipping from a lady and hers was standing upright, I don’t remember if it was held by anything. I’m not well-versed in plants and their care, so any advice would be helpful. As you can see, I’ve just propped it on a cup, not sure if that’s helpful or not.

Help Pothos yellowing help?

Post image

I moved a little over a month ago and all of my pothos seemed fine until this last week. Theyre all getting yellowing or pale leaves and even losing leaves, even the water propegated ones. This one just had the best photo evidence for a post.

They're in a window sill that gets bright, indirect light, except for the last hour or so of the day but I close the blinds then. They only get watered(about 1 cup) when the soil is dry and the leaves are curled like in the photo. Im hesitant to say its an overwatering issue since the water propped ones are also yellowing/losing color.

The one in the photo is the one im most worried about because she was my very first houseplant.
