Faucet Mount

I cannot for the life of me figure out how this is able to be tightened. Google image search identified it as a Moen tool free faucet mount. Apparently the yellow nut is supposed to be pressed and then spun, but it doesn’t budge, by band or by wrench. I also can’t imagine how it could spin like a typical nut because the entire this is connected to three bars, one in the center threaded, and two on the outside no threads. I’m obviously an idiot in this arena, but any help is greatly appreciated.

I recommend taking a picture of the faucet itself and looking up the model. From there, search online for the installation manual. I’m not familiar with this mounting style but would need a model name to have a chance of confirming how it’s installed

I have never seen that style of faucet mount or really anything kind of close.

I did a cursory google of moen tool-
less faucet mount and tool free mount with no results. Also tried reverse image searching the picture you posted. Again nothing useful.

If you are sure it is a moen, either contact moen with pictures or use pictures to revers image search the web to find what model of moen you have. Then find the install manual/instructions online.

Seems like it could be the right one. Looks very similar online and some pictures show that it does have mounting instructions “tightening from the top” after you drop the deck plate or faucet receiver into the countertop.

I would Use a few YouTube videos showing how to install that model faucet to carefully remove the faucet until you can then see down through your countertop and tighten up the mount with a LONG Allen key or some other means you have to tighten a Hex up.

Thank you. This definitely seems to be correct, but I can’t loosen it either, so I can’t remove the faucet

I’m pretty sure you take the spout off from up top and stick an Allen key down inside the hole and tighten from there.

look on the back of the faucet it have a small hex screw you unscrew with an allen key .. pull the top it would come out let me know is that help

This was it. It was actually not a hex screw, it was a button that release a plastic locking mechanism as pictured below. This locking mechanism was actually most of the problem. I tightened the bolt so the faucet mount is very secure but the attachment of faucet to mount is flimsy due to the plastic locking mechanism so it still seems somewhat loose, although it’s acceptable for now… thank you everybody. You’re great
