Next Steps
Hello All!
Recently found my old Pokémon card collection that I accumulated when I was a kid. I had some assessed using a price charting app and found some to be of decent value, specially holo legendaries and first generation oldies. Wanted to follow up with the community here to ask how I would go about potential next steps to get these properly assessed or if it’s even worth getting these checked at all. Entirely new to the Pokémon card collecting scene so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

There is definitely some solid value here. I would use tcgplayer and eBay last sold to get a feel for what they’re at value wise- price charting can be on the lower side for vintage. Then, decide if it’s worth your time to try and get as close to 90% of your tcg / eBay value for them walking around card shows. If not, then you could sell in bulk at like 70% to a card store but you are leaving money on the table this way.

Will look into TCG/Ebay to get a better feel on their worth and also look into local card shows. Definitely not planning on selling in bulk, will be patient and research accordingly on these. I appreciate the feedback!

You have some nice stuff here so definitely don’t jump on any first offers. Download a few apps and do some research, that will help you much more than Reddit. I like to use the apps TCGplayer, Dex, Collectr, rare candy, and eBay. eBay last sold for older cards like you have tend to be a the most accurate but definitely use all resources and just take your time! Have fun!
