Welcome Sticky! Welcome to r/Polymer80!

WELCOME to the WORLD of 80% GLOCKS and AR’s! Welcome to r/Polymer80, a community that welcomes Polymer80 builds (AR & Glock) primarily, but also eagerly welcomes 80% builds of all sorts! We encourage posts of 80% news, 80% legislation, and 80% memes. Let's spice things up from time to time!

[We have a few main rules:]

1: This is a very close-knit sub and we do NOT put up with redditors who incite arguments or fling insults, pretentiousness, or trolls.

2: Show the respect for firearms that they deserve. If you're building a Polymer80 treat it as a firearm, and take the time to understand its function. Learn and practice the 4 rules of handling a firearm:

  • Finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire.
  • Don't aim at anything you're not willing to destroy.
  • Check in-front and behind your target.
  • Treat every firearm as though it's loaded.

3: No want to buy (WTB), want to sell (WTS), or want to trade (WTT) ads from individuals. You may use other subs such as r/GunAccessoriesForSale or the MGB site or the MGB MeWe community at: MeWe Group.

4: No posts with or including illegal activity is allowed. This is broad scope, if you post in this forum remember all the people that want this hobby to fail and do your part to make it bullet proof (no pun intended). This is zero tolerance.

Breaking these rules can and likely will result in a permanent ban from one of the best resources available for builders and hobbyists.

Polymer to Metal bonding

I previously purchased some Freedom Wolf 80% lowers that I thought had gotten lost in a move. Well, they recently resurfaced and I want to finish them but I'm running into two main problems that I need assistance with.

1st (and main issue): the provided adhesive to bond the slide rails to the polymer frame has hardened. Does anyone know a valid substitute? I messaged the manufacturer and they "can't provide any guides or help due to legal reasons". I saw someone mentioned Loctite 380 and some google searches specify Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bond is a great product. Any actual experience?

2nd: the manufacturer removed the build guides from their site and while I can find some videos, I would like to find a copy of the original guide if possible.

Frt in p80 or g80

I’ve been wondering recently on what people think and have experienced with pairing a FRT in a completed p80 76% frame or a g80 frame to be safe before just jumping head first. along the lines of structural integrity I know polymer 80 frames have a softer and more elastic polymer than Glock Factory frames while the G80 platform uses a Steel FCU and grip module. For a FRT Im Wonder If spending the extra 200$+ to complete a g80 frame is worth it just for the extra rigidity of the Steel FCU, if anyone has done a FRT with either frame and is willing to share their experience with it or have any tips of things to look out and be cautious for I’d appreciate them since I’ve heard they are harder to get to run in both frames compared to Glock and safety is always the first priority which is my main reason of why Im between a g80 or a p80.

Hey, what’s the current going rate for p80 80% frames, untouched, jig and bits and rails included? The pf940 frames for Glock 17, Glock 19, and Glock 26?

I’m looking to get slide like one of these. But I’m having a hard time finding a decent one. Anybody know of any places that sell them at a reasonable price?

Trigger reset problems

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Whenever I rack the slide hard and let it slam home, my trigger doesn’t reset.

I have all glock OEM parts and slide. I’ve tried bending my connector, polishing the rear rail, and even swapping in another OEM housing (that works perfectly and doesn’t have reset issues) And it hasn’t fixed it.

This suggests the issue is in my rear rail or the frame??

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

Can you by 80% Glock frames?

With the different court rulings throwing out the Biden ghost rules can you by 80 percent frames. All I see are these 76%. Then trying to find jigs to drill seem like next to impossible.

This is my first attempt at building one. I have a fair share collection of firearms but I wanted to try my hand at a home made build. And yes they are legal in my state.

Hello everyone, I bought this polymer 80 a couple years ago and have zero clue how to build it. Is there a tutorial on how to cut the lower? I want it to be a 9mm Glock but have zero experience on building guns and I just find it fascinating and want some home protection. What Gen upper should I get?

PF940C kydex holster?

I have a two pf940Cs and I have tried several Glock holsters but the frame droop on them make it too tight of a squeeze. What’s the best budget friendly kydex holster that will accommodate the droop? Should I try to fix it?

TIA
