Well, pre-Trump conservative policies like rejecting civil rights for trans people, denying the science of things like vaccine and climate change, upholding child marriage, denying healthcare and food to poor people, and supporting billionaires accumulating all of the money and raping the working class to death are also fucking evil. If you can't decide between that and the people who are actually running on improving society, you might be either evil stupid. And if you think the mainstream Democrats are socialist/communist, you are insanely detached from reality.
I used to be conservative. Luckily I escaped that cult before the Trump era. A change that was largely brought about by me rejecting the Mormon church I was raised in and coming to respect science. It's crazy how conservatism only makes sense when you deny science in favor of superstition, it really is a holistically terrible party.
AOC and Bernie aren't mainstream Democrats. But even so: their policies are pretty objectively good though, most of what they advocate for would be considered centrist in most other developed countries.
They are socialists, and so am I. But none of what's actually being seriously considered in politics right now is socialism. The Democrat platform is mostly to stop brutalizing minorities and prevent important social safety nets from being stripped for their copper wire by billionaires. Do we let the world get raped to death by the Epstein class, or not? I for one think that being ruled by subliterate pedophiles is a bad thing, I don't know about you.
