Second of all, if you think AI is inherently leftist, then I can only assume you have a poor understanding of what both the left is and what AI is.

1
u/Thormourn 21h ago
It's not maga propaganda. It's literally on the dsa website as one of their demands
"Freedom for all incarcerated people"
Do you understand what all means? It means if someone is in jail for murder these people think they should have freedom.
Why do people always just assume they know everything when they know nothing at all?
1
u/MarsMaterial 9h ago
Unlike MAGA, who keeps their murderers and rapists contained safely in the halls of the capital.
1
u/Thormourn 3h ago

1
u/MarsMaterial 3h ago
Unserious accusations deserve unserious rebuttals.
If you actually were serious (and that would be kinda sad), the rebuttal would be that there are no elected Democrat representatives who push for prison abolition, and phrases like "defund the police" don't mean what you seem to think they mean. You'd have to be in one hell of an echo chamber not to know that, to assume you didn't would frankly be an insult but I guess it would also be a factually accurate one.
1
u/Thormourn 2h ago edited 1h ago
Everything Ive said is backed up by their own political parties websites. But I wouldn't expect a bad faith actor like yourself to actually look into anything
1
u/MarsMaterial 1h ago
That's not true though.
This is the official 2024 Democratic Party platform. I encourage you to ctrl-F the page and search for keywords like "police", "prison", "defund", and "abolish". You will find a whole lot of examples of the party saying that they love police states actually and how the police budgets should go up if anything.
You genuinely have no idea what the politics are like on the other side.
1
u/Thormourn 34m ago
hes not a democrat though, hes dsa, thats why he does fundraisers for them and attends multiple dsa rallies. he might claim hes not dsa but if i fundraise for trump and attend multiple maga rallies you would call me maga even if i say im not. and on the official dsa website they explicitly call for freedom for all incarcerated people. which means they want to let murderers and rapists out onto the street. try actually looking into people instead of just blindly listening to what they say like a drone and you might actually learn something for once.

How is he taking their money?
1
u/MarsMaterial 9h ago
Google how much the average wealth of billionaires (Trump included) has been going up in recent years.
Plus, Trump is on like his 4th scheme to directly pocket taxpayer money. And that's not even counting the other ways he has exploited his office for profit, like how he did a bunch of fakeout peace deals with Iran to manipulate markets and make shit tons of money.
1
u/PrometheusMMIV 7h ago
Wealth going up is not the same as stealing money.
1
u/MarsMaterial 7h ago
Not inherently, but in this case it absolutely is.
Take the SpaceX IPO for instance, which temporarily created the first trillionaire. That largely got bolstered based on the fact that everyone's 401k investments were forced to buy into SpaceX, which transferred a shit ton of money from the retirement savings of ordinary people to SpaceX.
There are also things like food, gas, and housing that have had their price increase due to shortages. This increases the profit margins of the businesses that produce these things, directly reducing the buying power of average people in the process.
That's not to even mention all the tax money that has been transferred to billionaires via American support for Israel, the Iran war, and a bunch of other smaller schemes.
You are being stolen from.

man just when i thought people were down voting me because they were going âI dont think that, stop projectingâ. you do realize that not all conservatives and republicans are maga? hell a lot of them think heâs a rino, a rino that cant be relected so ice will probably be restructured by the next person. and thereâs nothing wrong with not being entirely on board with socialism/communism.
1
u/MarsMaterial 8h ago
Well, pre-Trump conservative policies like rejecting civil rights for trans people, denying the science of things like vaccine and climate change, upholding child marriage, denying healthcare and food to poor people, and supporting billionaires accumulating all of the money and raping the working class to death are also fucking evil. If you can't decide between that and the people who are actually running on improving society, you might be either evil stupid. And if you think the mainstream Democrats are socialist/communist, you are insanely detached from reality.
I used to be conservative. Luckily I escaped that cult before the Trump era. A change that was largely brought about by me rejecting the Mormon church I was raised in and coming to respect science. It's crazy how conservatism only makes sense when you deny science in favor of superstition, it really is a holistically terrible party.
1
u/GlongorTheConfused 8h ago
so Aoc and bernie didnt say they they want to bring socialist policies to america?
1
u/MarsMaterial 8h ago
AOC and Bernie aren't mainstream Democrats. But even so: their policies are pretty objectively good though, most of what they advocate for would be considered centrist in most other developed countries.
They are socialists, and so am I. But none of what's actually being seriously considered in politics right now is socialism. The Democrat platform is mostly to stop brutalizing minorities and prevent important social safety nets from being stripped for their copper wire by billionaires. Do we let the world get raped to death by the Epstein class, or not? I for one think that being ruled by subliterate pedophiles is a bad thing, I don't know about you.

Thank you for proving my point. Like all cults, you develop an ideology of murderous hate for anyone outside of your cult. That's why you call the opposition maggots, so you can justify murdering them. That's why there are so many socialist assassins killing people like Charlie Kirk and trying to kill Trump. Your ideology is a cult ideology of mass murder. The exact same one that led to the mass murder in Russia and China.
1
u/LunarEggplantAquatic 8h ago
Maga shares more with cults. A charismatic leader that the followers get their truth from. Unquestioned Loyalty: Supporters often show a deep personal devotion to Donald Trump that goes beyond standard political support.Infallibility: Many followers treat the leader's statements as absolute truth, placing his word above traditional institutions, media, or personal acquaintances.Charismatic Authority: The movement organizes around a single dominant figure rather than a fixed set of traditional party principles.Â
There are other facets. Would you like to hear about the other similarities?Â
0
u/aminok 7h ago
The only major political faction in the United States that operates like a cult is the socialists/Democratic-leaning people:
Scroll to the bottom to see visualizations of their viewpoint clustering.
Studies also show that socialists have extreme hatred for those that they view as conservatives, whereas conservatives do not hate socialists. When questioned, socialists suspect that the conservatives hate them. And when questioned, conservatives assume that the socialists don't hate them. So there's a massive asymmetry in hatred. And the reason why there's so much hatred among socialists is that they're in a cult.
1
u/LunarEggplantAquatic 7h ago edited 7h ago
Your only argument is tribalism. That doesn't by itself make a cult.
Alternative Facts and Shared LanguageSpecial Vocabulary: The use of repeating phrases like "fake news" or "witch hunt" creates a unified internal language that separates members from outsiders.Rejection of Consensus Reality: Disagreement with standard factsâsuch as election outcomes or mainstream newsâhelps reinforce group solidarity and trust only in approved sources.Cognitive Dissonance Reduction: Conflicting reports about the leader are often dismissed as attacks by dishonest adversaries, strengthening internal resolve.Social Control and CommunitySense of Belonging: The group offers a powerful community for people who feel ignored or isolated by mainstream society.Internal Policing: Members or former allies who criticize the leader face immediate social rejection, shunning, or political marginalization.A psychologist explains the psychological drivers and denial mechanisms behind intense political loyalty:
Would you like to hear more similarities?
No groups hate others quite like conservstives. Whether those of other colors, trans peope, etc.Â
0
u/aminok 7h ago
Look, you can get the AI to tell you anything you want by prompting it to do so. That doesn't answer the questions. Tribalism is in fact one of the hallmarks of a cult. Everyone converging on the same views and feeling incredible social pressure not to deviate from the group's narrative is cult-like.
Everyone outside of the Democrats has very diverse views because those kinds of cult-like dynamics are not there. It's only the Democrats where you see a very large number of people all converging on exactly the same positions across a wide set of very complex issues.
1
u/LunarEggplantAquatic 7h ago
Tribalism on it's own does not make a cult. Sociological speaking, Maga shares a more cult-like structure. Rejecting facts is an example.
Who won tne 2020 election?Â
0
u/aminok 7h ago
No, tribalism at the extreme, which the Democrats exhibit, is in fact a cult. Extreme tribalism is enforced by and also enforces cult dynamics
1
u/LunarEggplantAquatic 7h ago
Tribalism is all you have. I could find dozens of similarities between Maga and cults. Having your own facts that only cult members believe is an example.Â
Who won the 2020 election?

You don't know what that word means if you think that accusing a convicted conman of corruption counts as cultism.
1
u/aminok 8h ago
You don't understand what indoctrination is if you don't think that this mass movement to vilify the US president every step is not a cult.
1
u/MarsMaterial 8h ago
So I guess the non-cult thing to do would be to let Trump get away with every bit of corruption he does no matter how brazen, and pay no attention whatsoever to the most powerful man in the world? The man has a Watergate-level scandel about every 2 weeks.
Do you also think that the mass movement to vilify Hitler is a cult? Just curious, since clearly you seem to think that that's what being in a cult means.
1
u/aminok 8h ago
The non-cult thing to do would be to recognize the absolute insanity of what the socialists are doing and what they are advocating.
They allowed millions of people to enter the United States illegally and aggressively lobbied against enforcement of the basic immigration laws a country needs in order to exist. They want lawlessness, then act like the biggest victims on earth â and the most outraged people â when a party comes to power that wants to enforce those laws. They have twisted and redefined words like "fascism" and "authoritarianism" so that simply enforcing a law against illegal immigration now counts as those things.
That is the first thing these people would stop doing if they were not part of an insane cult.
The second thing they would do is stop trying to force girls and women to compete against boys and men in athletic competitions. That demand rests on a cult-like belief that if you believe you are a woman, you suddenly become one, and that being a woman has nothing to do with biology.
Then there is the economic record. They advocate policies that the vast majority of economists recognize as harmful to the economy. Their major party, the Democrats, is completely beholden to public-sector unions. Those unions are the single biggest recipients of government spending and they turn around and become the primary backers of the Democratic Party. That is quid pro quo. It is structural corruption: the government funds the special interests that fund the politicians, who then keep subsidizing those same interests.
1
u/MarsMaterial 8h ago
Meanwhile in reality: immigrants are just people (there is no magic that makes people evil just because they were born in the wrong side of an imaginary line), itâs not the governmentâs job to legislate how sports institutions can allow a ball to be kicked (thatâs insane and authoritarian), civil rights are good (including for trans people), and the economy reliably does better under Democrats than Republicans.
The insane mental gymnastics you need to deny all of this is insane. Itâs just like OPâs comic shows, you are blinded by paranoia against your fellow citizen to the point where you ignore the subliterate pedophile billionaires robbing you blind. Your life is worse and yet you celebrate because the people you hate are experiencing even more pain than you, itâs a damn murder-suicide cult.
1
u/aminok 8h ago
Meanwhile, back in reality:
⢠someone doesn't obtain a right to illegally immigrate into a country just because of a vague platitude like "immigrants are just people". Immigration laws need to be enforced or else a nation as an entity ceases to be meaningful. Imagine if anyone could just walk into Syria and live there without the government of Syria having any say in the matter. Or Italy, or Ghana, or Nigeria, or Cambodia. Nations exist as entities that control who can enter and who is a citizen. Your vague platitudes don't address that, but resorting to that is exactly the kind of cult-like reaction I'm talking about.
⢠It is absolutely the government's job to ensure women's rights are being protected in the institutions that it operates or funds, whether that be public schools or colleges that receive significant state subsidies.
⢠Protecting the civil rights of girls and women to have their own single-sex bases is good. And pandering to people who are in a cult and believe that they can magically change their gender just by thinking they're the opposite gender is not protecting civil rights. It's protecting ideological extremism and imposing it on defenseless people.
And the economy does vastly better under Republicans:
The White House doesn't control fiscal policy. It can impact short-term growth, but that impact tells you nothing about the long-term trajectory that the White House is able to put the country on by, for example, solving long-standing foreign policy problems or regulatory problems. For example, if you change a regulatory system to eliminate the suffocating morass of restrictions that require companies to wait over a year, sometimes five years just to get a permit to build a new factory, that's not going to show up in GDP statistics in the same administration, but it will in 10 or 20 years.
If you want to actually compare how that different approaches to governance work, you have to look at states, red states versus blue states. Just compare the largest red state to the largest blue state, Texas versus California.
California is very rich today because of policies it had many decades ago. Those policies were what we would think of as Republican policies today. Those policies are what led to Los Angeles becoming the largest oil producing region in the world in the 1920s. The capital that the oil industry brought to Los Angeles is what allowed for the subsequent major industries to emerge.
Today, thanks to Republican policies, Texas is growing much more rapidly than California. California is much more expensive and much slower to build. In 2025, California electricity was about 32 cents/kWh, versus about 15-16 cents/kWh in Texas. California permitted about 102,000 homes, or 2.6 homes per 1,000 residents; Texas permitted about 226,000, or 7.1 per 1,000 residents.
The rent gap is just as significant. California's two biggest cities were around $2,762/month in Los Angeles and $2,959 in San Diego. Texas's two biggest cities were around $1,357 in Houston and $1,289 in San Antonio.
And Texas also added more jobs. From 2015 to 2025, California went from about 16.1 million to 18.0 million jobs, adding about 2.0 million jobs, equal to about 5% of its 2025 population. Texas went from about 11.9 million to 14.3 million jobs, adding about 2.4 million jobs, equal to about 7.7% of its population. And it maintained this high jobs created to population ratio despite a huge influx of people, including many Californians moving to Texas.
California is losing 10-25% of its Medicaid program to fraud. It spent $100 billion and it couldn't build a high-speed rail line. It revolved this entire political culture around environmentalism and renewables and Texas outbuilds it 4 to 1 in solar panels.
1
u/MarsMaterial 7h ago
someone doesn't obtain a right to illegally immigrate into a country just because of a vague platitude like "immigrants are just people".
Funny how you have to resort to defending the legality of immigration enforcement, because you can't defend its morality. Slavery was also legal you know, back when that existed someone could have similarly argued "a negro's status as a human doesn't give him the right to be a free man". But the point is: it should. People should not be subjected to different laws based on the circumstances of their birth, whether it be skin color or birthplace. This is a basic tenant of America's founding ideology. We hold these truths be to self-evident that all men are created equal.
Imagine if anyone could just walk into Syria and live there without the government of Syria having any say in the matter. Or Italy, or Ghana, or Nigeria, or Cambodia. Nations exist as entities that control who can enter and who is a citizen.
Nations exist as entities with sovereignty over land. Controlling who enters or leaves is not needed at all, that's just what authoritarian and apartheid shitholes do. The nations of the EU allow free travel between EU nations, the states of the USA allow free travel between the states, this has not threatened the sovereignty of either. What if we just did that, but for the world?
It is absolutely the government's job to ensure women's rights are being protected in the institutions that it operates or funds, whether that be public schools or colleges that receive significant state subsidies.
There are already institutions that exist to govern this sort of thing, and after listening to the scientific consensus they have made the determination that athletic performance is caused by hormone levels and that trans people who have undergone hormone replacement therapy have altered athletic performance based on those new hormones. But the government decided to step in and say "no, listen to us actually, the dumbest hogs in Wyoming decided that you need to change your ruling".
And don't these institutions also have the responsibility to ensure that tran rights are also protected? Or does that not matter to you?
Protecting the civil rights of girls and women to have their own single-sex bases is good.
Literally arguing that the right to have segregated spaces is a "civil right". Is this a fucking joke?
And pandering to people who are in a cult and believe that they can magically change their gender just by thinking they're the opposite gender is not protecting civil rights.
Can you find me a source to the claim that literally anyone on Earth believe that magically shapeshifting genitalia with your mind powers is a real thing? This is just a lie that gets told about progressives, because Republicans know that if they told the truth about progressives it wouldn't be quite as easy to hatemonger and fearmonger about them. It's a classic example of cult information control, as detailed in the BITE model.
The reality is that gender is not the same thing as biological sex. Every progressive ever will tell you this, but you choose to not believe them and believe the lies instead that the minorities are all stupid actually. Just like how cultists spread lies about how all nonbelievers are subversive and evil people who secretly know that the cult is right and work to undermine it because they hate the truth. Same shit.
And the economy does vastly better under Republicans
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._economic_performance_by_presidential_party
"US economic performance has consistently varied by the political party of the US President. According to many economic metrics (including job creation, GDP growth, stock market returns, personal income growth, and corporate profits), since World War II the United States economy has performed significantly better during the administration of Democratic presidents, compared with Republican presidents. Of these, the most statistically significant differences are in real GDP growth, unemployment rate change, stock market annual return, and job creation rate."
