Reassurance First 24 hours....
Hello All from the UK....
I started vaping around 2018 to help me quit smoking. The vape has been my companion and my emotional support crutch and way of coping with painful feelings.
I recently had a bout of depression, (I get them from time to time), not for the first time, I knew that vaping was exacerbating my depressive symptoms. I was feeling so desperate to claw my way out of this depressing place, that I'd do anything including quitting the vape. (I used 6mg for a few years).
So here I am.....first 24 hours, I barely slept, feel a bit shell shocked - feel a bit doo-lally - a 'lil bit crazy!
I am using a Ripple 0% nicotine vape for the hand to mouth simulation.
Thank you for any encouragement or identification! Been reading others in this subreddit with interest!
UPDATE: I feel like a zombie moving in slow motion with a brain to match

I feel you. I'm on day 5 and the first two days were absolutely the worst. I have some bad news to report to you, that you got a lot more ways to go. Please just be easy on yourself and don't go back to your bad habits. There will be many times your brain will rationalize or trick you into going back, and you need to just be the zombie you are and get through it.
