When logged in to my reddit account as of this morning, I get endless "failed to load content" errors on every page. If I click log out and browse without being logged in, everything works. I thought this had to do with a VPN connection but I tried with and without, and with a second VPN and none work. All work when logged out. I have not used all of my API call credits for the month (it's the 1st anyway).

I just subscribed for the upcoming month and it shows as active in my Google play subscriptions tab (and it charged me). Yet when I open the app, it gives me the "API limit reached" screen. I have tried the restore subscription button and it says subscription found but then does nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Couldn't find the answer we are Googling or AI; I am a moderator of a sub. Can I perform moderation activities using this app?

1. Play a video from a post (mine happened to be an mp4)
2. Let play a few second, then pause video
3. Change to another app via the recent apps button
4. Go back via the recent apps button
5. Video should still be paused
6. Drag slider to beginning of video
7. Video auto-plays, and the play/pause button should show the play button, indicating that it thinks the video is not playing
8. Hit the "play" button, video will pause and now be sync'd correctly to the video
9. Subsequent presses map correctly

Like the title says, for the second time in a row, right after getting charged the subscription, i got logged out of relay and all my settings wiped, favorite subs, homepage behavior, etc.

Is this something i should be expecting from now on? It had happened a few times in the past, but only a handful in however long ive been using the app.

When going to authenticator to get the 2fa code the Relay app closes the login form.

I've seen this a few other places, but finally remembered to grab a link. Ever since they updated the markdown (sigh...), some numbered lists behave differently. I see this list as "10. ... 11. ... 12. ..." And not "10. ... 9. ... 8. ...".

Update: had to reinstall app and redo my subscription again and its all working fine now. I wonder if it had anything to do monthly reddit usage. I dont think ive ever matched my monthly alloted tokens but whatever it is. Its back.

I recently changed my phone from my old OnePlus 12 to a new Honor v6. It's a folding phone with an Android OS called MagicOS. I have no problems getting it or any other app to work since it's Google allowed Android, but Relay does have one problem: Every scroll or animation seems very "stuttery", no matter if on the smaller outside screen or on the bigger inside one.

The phone should be easily able to handle it with its newer processor and refresh rates up to 120Hz and I don't have the problem in any other app so far. Does anybody have the same problem and maybe even a solution?

Tried to block an account from my front page, and the post disappeared like normal. But when I refreshed, the post was back. Any idea what's going wrong?

When I'm close to my running out of data (e.g. using an international esim), I reduce data usage using Android's Data Saver mode. It would be great if Relay respected that mode and reduced data usage.

Requests

1. Support changing behavior (i.e. pre-fetching, HD video/gifs) based on Data Saver in addition to mobile data and wifi.
2. Add the ability to change inline gifs/images behavior based on mobile data, wifi, and Data Saver mode.

Considerations

While mobile data and wifi are effectively mutually exclusive, Data Saver can be enabled alongside either.

I would assume that if Data Saver is enabled, it takes precedence over mobile data/wifi behavior.

Hey u/DBrady, I can't seem to install Relay on my Galaxy Fold 8. Google Play says"this app won't work for your device". Any chance of a fix in an upcoming update? I love Relay and don't want to lose it!

EDIT: deleting play store cache and restarting the phone a few times seems to have fixed the issue.

Is there a way to switch the colours of read/non read posts when in night theme? The unread posts are sort of grey whereas read posts are solid black with white writing. I feel like this should be the other way around, small problem I know.

When i try to open a specific multisubreddit or multihub through the 'explore...' function or from the multihub subreddit, the app closes or crashes.

I am on the relay app v13.1.09 on a Samsung Galaxy S25.

Does anybody else have the same problem?

I recently cleared the app data and set it up again, and I was able to log in and set my account notification sounds, but I'm running into a problem with the "Vibrate" setting.

The setting is a drop down, set to "Disable" by default. I select it and choose "Default" from the list, and the phone vibrates. So far so good. But if I then back out of that screen and go back, it's still set to "Disable". There's no Save button that I can see.

How do I get it to actually save the Vibrate setting?

Was happening intermittently earlier, but now it's consistently happening on every message.

I'm getting a weird 404 error when trying to post comments. Which is weird because 404 errors are content not found, right?

Anyway, it happens on multiple accounts, but I can post stuff just fine via the website.

I can see my subscription in the Play Store but the app says "subscription not found" when tapping restore and doesn't let me to do anything, it doesn't even load anything.

As per title. Mate, /u/DBrady are you ever going to acknowledge this issue? Once more, all my data is gone and I must set everything back up. Please reply and tell me if you are going to fix this and add some sort of backup or not. I'm getting rid of my premium subscription unless I get some sort of response this time. It's completely unacceptable for a paid app with zero support or explanation any time it happens.

Private messages that I've deleted are still showing up in my application. The messages do not appear in the web browser or the default Reddit app. They also do not show in my Inbox within Relay. They are only appearing in Relay under Inbox -> Messages.

Anybody else experience this issue?

When I get a notification of a comment reply and tap it, Relay opens to the last screen I was on instead of going directly to the comment or to my inbox. Is this just a me issue, or is it happening to others?

I use multiple accounts for reddit segregated by use. I have notifications on for all of them. When a notification comes on, it ends up logging me into a different account that has nothing to do with the sub.

How to fix this? Didn't find anything helpful anywhere.
