That's a quote from the article, and all the comments on FT are also calling out the non-existent customer support, aggressive and intrusive implementation of KYC and AML.

That's for all the people who claim that everyone who complains about getting stuck on the endless loop of dealing with AI chatbots it's their fault and they must have been doing something illegal, and that they personally had zero problems and Revolut had done no wrong, and they should deposit their life savings with zero issues!

Some people are actually might be using it for illegal shit, but their complete unwillegless to investigate properlly becuse it costs money so they would rather terminate accounts it's not a behavior of serious trastworthy financial institution!

I love the App, and I use it everyday, but we need to call them out on their absent customer support, especially for a company that holds our money!

Up to last month I was able to just select the account, select more, select statements, then export a statement for the month.

Now when I do it, it just gives me the option to display the transactions for the month. There’s no issue with the current account and it works as expected there.

I’m looking for advice or experiences from anyone who has dealt with this.

A few months ago, Revolut force-closed my account. The trigger was that I submitted 3 payment disputes/chargebacks on the exact same day. It was for a legitimate issue with a merchant where I was in the right, but the algorithm clearly flagged it as high risk.

When it happened, support explicitly told me that my account would be fully deleted in 60 days, after which I could simply open a new one.

The 60 days have passed, but every time I try to registerr, the app instantly blocks me during ID verification. When I reach out to support on other channels, I just get generic copy-paste answers saying they can't help and have no timeframe.

• Has anyone actually managed to get this type of ID block removed?
• Did submitting a Formal Complaint help anyone get a manual review from a human?

I really valued Revolut for their dispute process, so I’d appreciate knowing if there’s any realistic way to solve this or if it’s a permanent ban. Thanks!

So finally it happened with me. My account was restricted and this is for an account holding roughly 200 euros. What kind of shady business do they expect to be happening with that sort of balance.

I don’t mind that I was asked to provide documents. But it became progressively worse.

First they ask to provide evidence even for transfer from friends by asking you to get written statement from them ( for amounts as small as 10 euros )

They asked me to provide my employment information. I submitted an employment verification letter from company. They rejected it twice

then they provide another list of documents. I chose to provide my payslip. But then even that is rejected. And they come back asking for alternative documents.

I have never seen this sort of harassment from a bank. Moreover just blocking you to do anything with your money in your account Out of the blue with nothing going on (again this account has 200 euros), I just consider myself lucky I didn’t put more money in there.

Hi, this is my first Reddit post, but I don’t know what else to do.
I have a P-account with Revolut with an increased non-seizable amount.
This month Revolut simply froze over €1,000 of my money, even though only just under €60 of that may be transferred and retained by the creditor.
After countless chats (and by that I mean at least 20 support staff), I keep getting told the same thing – the specialist team is looking into it and I’ll get help shortly.
This has now been going on for days and I need to be able to access the money (bills, etc.).
By email I was told that the money would be released again, and two emails later they claimed that the email had been sent by mistake and that they have no record of any such email.
(I have all the correspondence!)
Now I don’t know what else to do, and the only option left seems to be going to the Ombudsman / filing a complaint with BaFin.
Or do you have another solution? What do you think?

I recently moved all my money from my NatWest account to revolut, mainly because I preferred the layout of revolut, so I’m just using NatWest for subscriptions bills etc now. The savings accounts also provided a higher interest rate, so I moved all my savings over to. Now I’m hearing story’s of peoples accounts getting froze for months with revolut and getting worried this will happen to me, because I’ve got about 10 k in savings over a few savings accounts and when I go to send this money out in future my account will get blocked. Should I move everything over to NatWest and have as I had before? Or keep it as it is. I’m stressing because I feel like I made a bad choice. Any help will be appreciated.
