The traffic right now is absolutely horrendous. Leaving UTRGV, and the entire drive over to Mission is just completely crazy. I'm not sure if its just around this time (around 5pm), but its absolutely horrible. Just the area of UTRGV is horrible. The location is just straight up awful. Someone actually just crashed their car while exiting out of UTRGV. Hope they are ok. But like is there no better way of traffic flowing? Someone told me its just around this time and these beginning of the months since people are going back to school, but traffic all the way to Mission? And on top of that, people drive all chinga loca just to hit their brakes and have their brake pads be completely shot. We are all on the same road in the same traffic. And the heat just makes it worse. It all makes us frustrated and irritated. I just wish there was a better way for the flow of traffic to be more efficient, but hopefully it will pass.

If these candidates are so focused on who wants to represent us, then why haven't they scheduled any public or formal debates? Stop all of these social media jabs back and forth and get your asses on the stage and speak to the voters!!

A New York-based company Fluidstack is moving forward to build a massive 18,000 acre data center. The site will be located between Harlingen and Rio Hondo along FM 106. The main concern for residents is the large amount of water and potential high electric and energy bills. The Valley is currently in a drought and still it's struggling from the water shortage the region been going through.

Imagine if it had been a car with a family that I had hit like that, or a relative of yours who was going to work early today in the morning, seriously, I don't understand how fast someone has to go to end up like this, the valley every day surprises me more.

So a couple days ago I found 9 puppies near my home (in mission). People abandon their dogs all the time by the road where I live smh. Anyway I really can't care for them all and the no kill shelters I've called are all full. So if anyone would like a free puppy or knows someone who does please message me. I'll even take them to you.

All of them are very sweet and not aggressive/violent. The one I was playing with (last pic) barely even nibbled my hand. A few are cautious and a little skittish but they've been warming up to people really well. They look to be some kind of German Shepherd mix, I think.

i need help reuniting this beagle with his family. he was found near tres lagos in edinburg. he's not chipped, and his collar has no dog tags/identification. please share! he was found this past saturday august 29th.

why does the city of Edinburg have so many flock cameras? on my drive to work today i counted 6. some were on 281, two on trenton, another was on raul longoria. it’s getting ridiculous. has the city come out with any transparency on how they are using the cameras? a city in texas took out their flock cameras because employees (police officers and investigators) were abusing the technology. does this much surveillance really keep us safe or is it just a police state on the rise. these cameras don’t prevent any kind of crime.

I've seen their job listing on Indeed and can find little to no information as to what they actually do? Has anybody had any experience with them? Their website and TikTok accounts seem purposefully vague.

i had an interview last week the manager didnt tell me the job was paying $8.50 an hour until the end and I guess i looked shocked. She asked is everything ok? i said why is the job paying so little and she looked kind of annoyed lol. She said if the pay is too low for you maybe you can try somewhere else I have other people that need this job too. I said ok well ty for your time and just left. Its crazy how for granted hiring managers take brownsville peeps like me. I swear one of these days im going to run for congressman or something so the world knows how crappy the hourly wage is here in brownsville.

just cause its brownsville doesnt mean you should be paying me $8.50 an hour and expect me to just smile and be happy that i got a job. thats not how its supposed to work lol. we brownsville peeps are human beings too we should be making good hourly wages.

Does anyone have photos of the Santa Claus setup at Sunrise Mall in the late 90s/early 2000s? I was telling my little sister about how it had this little Christmas cottage with animatronic(?) animals and you would walk through it to reach Santa, and then you would receive a coloring/activity book of the animals along with your photo print. I'm not sure of the years exactly since I was a little kid, but I do remember being devastated when they changed it to just a regular Santa throne lol

Anyway, if anyone has photos of that attraction I would be so happy!
