Won’t work again 😭

As soon as I solve the yellow the white messes up again. I had solved it 4 times the night before and now it just won’t work again. Help please ☹️

How are you trying to solve it? Are you using a beginner’s method or just attempting with your own knowledge?

It looks pretty good if it’s just your own knowledge, but the last layer works differently otherwise you end up messing up the other sides.

This website explains how to do it pretty nicely.

I’m following LiliInvests tutorial on how to do it. She’s the only person I’ve watched because she explains how to do it in a way my brain can understand. It was able to solve the first few times and now it won’t work

You're going to get it. You've made some small mistake (we all have) and the cube is unforgiving. But you will get there! Maybe a brain break and then try again. Learning takes a lot of focus.

If your last step is twisting the corners one at a time me by doing the same 4 moves over and over, there are  some common mistakes. 

  1.  Don’t turn the whole cube, only the layer you’re solving.  The method works because repeating the alg six times puts everything back on place, but only if the scrambled pieces don’t move. When the first two layers are solved, all legal twists will be in multiples of 3, and you need to do the alg twice for each twist, so you always do a multiple of 6 and therefore restore everything. 

  2.  Always finish the algorithm, even though the corner will be right before the last move. The repetition has to be exact in order to restore the other layers. 

  3.  If your alg has D moves, remember that the direction of turning is relative to the face you’re turning. Looking down from above, D seems to turn the opposite direction of U.

Thank you! I found out that one of my corners was twisted so it’s all good now 🥹

I can tell based on the state, you did everything right. It's just a corner twist.
