(Stupid title but I couldn’t figure out a better one).
I am an LPN currently - and very unhappy with trying to get a job in Calgary. I’ve decided my best bet is to go into either respiratory therapy, medical sonography, medical radiology, or nuclear medicine. I don’t really care which - everything in healthcare interests me. I just don’t know which one to pick.
Difficulty doesn’t matter too much, the accelerated LPN diploma at BVC had everyone looking 5 years older than they should be. I was wondering if anyone who’s graduated sait and gone into these careers, could maybe give me an idea of the upsides and downsides to the job?

I just finished my first day at SAIT and saw some community boards with clubs on it and it got me thinking is there any sort of club fair we’re clubs get to show off? I’ve been thinking of joining one or two but nothings really jumped out at me yet, just curious if it’s a thing or not. Thanks for any help!
I'm coming to SAIT this fall, and I'm wondering if anyone has been through this program before.
Any recommendations for PPE, homework (if any), and how much time you should spend per week studying?
Also, any recommendations for making friends or getting involved in the school community are appreciated!

Just got an email that we need our lab manuals for class tomorrow and I never knew we needed any till now… so does anyone know where I can get one? 😭

Without disclosing much, I'm trans, my email uses my deadname but everywhere in my forms it says my preferred name in the dedicated spot. I emailed a professor with a question, ending it off with a thank you from my preferred name. They used my email name, so I'm just wondering if they can do that or not. It's fine if not, It doesn't bother me much.

During the orientation for Civil Eng Tech , one of the instructors said we will need PPE first week for his course and that we would be able to see the required PPE in the course outline. However, we won’t be able to see the d2l shell for that course until tomorrow. Anyone know what PPE we need?

I am an international student, i want to apply to electrical trade and technology, and i am fulfilling every requirement, but I am not sure about Math 20-3, i had maths in my 10th grade with 77% but i didnt have maths in 11th and 12th. Although I have diploma in Business Management with Maths but it is non credit. So i wanna know if i am fulfilling the requirement or no (I already studied everything in the syllabus of math 20) . If i am not fulfilling, how i can meet the requirements, i dont want academic upgrading because i dont have time for it.

I'm at Begin Tower, and honestly, the wifi/internet for my room sucks. Is there a way to, like, get better wifi/internet. Yes, I can use Ethernet; it's just that I'm not comfortable with the school seeing what I do. What provider can i go to or subscribe to?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply to SAIT’s Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) program for the 2027 intake and was hoping to connect with a few other people who are also going through the application process.
I’m currently working on my prerequisites/upgrading and starting to look into the entrance testing, application process, etc. There’s a lot to figure out, so I thought it would be nice to meet some other prospective MRT students and have people to chat with along the way!
If you’re also applying for 2027 (or have recently gone through the process), I’d love to hear from you — feel free to comment or send me a message. 😊
Would be great to connect, compare notes, study together, or just have someone else to talk to about the whole process!
Good luck to everyone applying! 🩻✨

Has anyone gotten their Studen Loan yet for the School Year? I had to make a request for change for mine so they're still processing that, but they've already processed the original application I applied for.

Hi! I am a graduate from the CVT program at SAIT with a major in VDC. I was looking into the CPM program at SAIT and thinking of applying. I wanted to ask the current students/faculty about the what the program is like. I also have some specific questions regarding the program and applying:
1) Do I enter first year again even if I already did the 2 year CVT program? I am aware I could transfer credits, since both programs have some similar courses, but wanted to get confirmation on this.
2) How does the internship period work in 4th year? Is it more of a summer/spring thing or during the regular semester?
3) If anyone’s willing to share, I’d love to know about your experience with the program and what to be know before applying (pros, cons, etc.).
I’d appreciate any input about next steps and the program itself. I wanted to get a general idea first before talking to an advisor. Thanks for reading!
