Hey, just joined the sub and just kind of looking to get a feel for when parents have been introducing their kids to guns and shooting and taking them to the range. I’m an avid shooter myself, but I didn’t get started until much later in life and wasn’t introduced at a young age and so I’m not really sure what age my children should be to start introducing them to this sport/hobby.

I’ve been trying to become a better shot. I’ve been shooting about 100-200 rounds once a week. These were shot about 10 yards with an x macro and an echelon. Let me know how I’m doing and any tips you might have to get better thanks.

It runs on a game engine, you need a projector, laptop and a webcam. Would anyone be interested if I sold this on Steam ? Works great with a SIRT but it should work with any other laser system (like laser cartridges).

I am trying to reduce latency right now, even though it feels pretty nice. It can easily register 80-100 ms split times (yeah my video is not a good example for this).

A fun yearly family shoot my father in law puts on. (Year 15)(Trophies involved)We are just scoring this paper, are there two or three holes here? I am just asking this community if they can see three.

This is shot at 40 yards with a .22 rifle.

I know the answer is three ,my first two were put in on the left and my third by itself on the right, but when scoring they say there are only two... They taped it and let me put one more into it, and I hit the right hole dead on.

I bought some off Amazon and they were trash. Please recommend. Head starts hurting after 2-ish hours of shooting with ear muffs over glasses.

For law enforcement application/training purposes, cause my right eye is blurred but it is my dominant eye so I have to adapt, should I train how shoot using left hand or train sighting using left eye, any recommendations

I'm new to shooting and I only shoot indoors. There is no outdoors where I shoot due to regulations.

When I'm shooting by myself, it's fine, but I only shoot 22lr. When other around me are shooting, it's a problem. Others are shooting 9mm, 357 magnum etc, and it just hurts. I always double up and put plugs in my hears (Alpine motosafe) when using the headphones but even then, it's just terrible.

What is the absolute best over the ear hearing protection I can use? If possible with bluetooth.

I've been reading a bunch of different related topics but all come to the same conclusion, which is to double up or use construction worker hearing protection. I was hoping for something better.

Hey guys. I’m looking to make a rifle for my wife and son for white tail hunting. I have a 308 right now and shoot 178gr precision hunter. I would like to continue to use the same ammo. What is a decent setup for rifle, scope, and muzzle break or suppressor. Max shot I could see us taking is ~150yds. I’ve been looking at Ruger and vortex but wanted some real world experience.

Hello everyone, I shoot pistols and practice both precision shooting and dynamic shooting. So I’m wondering which iron sights to choose (excluding red dots).

Could someone explain the main pros and cons of the different types of iron sights? (3 white dots, all fiber optic, fiber optic front and black rear, all black, Glock-style sights \[dot in front and square in back\], Springfield-style sights \[dot in front and round in back\], adjustable or non-adjustable, etc.)

And which ones are recommended for different disciplines? (Precision, IPSC, fun shoot, versatile, etc.)
