I am not so patiently waiting for the shrimpy explosion!

I love this variation. The other ones had a a blur bosy and some red specks. This one looks like it's made of lava!

I am so close to give up. At first everything was just fine, after a change to ADA Amazonie V2 shit just hit the fan. No more babys and older shrimp keep dying. So with my last few shrimps I switched to Ebi Gold Soil. No more deaths, but only a few left. I was on vacation for two months, a friend was looking after my shrimps, everything went smooth no babys, but also no deaths. Now after I came back I did a 10% water change on the remaining tank with shrimps in it and they immediately started dying. My Be Shrimp Gh+ is kinda wet, did it go bad? I do my water changes with DIY automatic gravity trickle fill up with a floating valve and a container with the new water on top of my rack, where I mix it to 200-250ms. I changed my RO filters, let some 20l run trough, but kept the Membrane. RO water is measured with 20ms out of my osmosis thingy. Ph is at 6.0, temp at 24°C.

My oldest vampire molted again after having molted last month which is.. a bit concerning.. but he has been eating well and hasn't shown any signs of stress. Perhaps he just had a growth spurt. Figured I would share the shell he left behind! I had to take it out cause I have fish who were pecking at it and didn't trust he'd eat it first. So I went ahead and dosed the tank with some calcium to make up for it!

The little frog is quite small and stays pretty small! I’ve had good luck with them together in the past! This one is new and super tiny! The Shrimps all gathered near it!

After an explosion of shrimp in my designated shrimp tank (10g), I decided to move a few of them (guessing around 15) into my larger tetra tank (20g). I fully understood the risks of moving them, but the tank is pretty well planted in certain areas, so I figured what the heck.. their babies might get eaten, but I knew most of the shrimp I put in were large enough to be safe. Well here we are a few months after doing this and last night after some tank cleaning I spotted a handful of new babies in the tetra tank (I counted at least 6)! I was shocked, but also very excited and pleased. Turns out the babies do have enough places to hide. Also, while I do not overfeed my tetra tank, the tetras never go starving, so I think their instincts to go hunt for food remains low or nonexistent. To this point I've just been happy to see a few shrimp swimming around in there living their best lives.. I'm elated to know I have a chance of creating a second successful colony 🥳

Threw a spinach leaf into my tank last night around 6pm, and this is the aftermath when I got home from work at 1pm. Now that most of the shrimp have gotten their fill, my legions of copepods are doing their best to clean up the leftovers.

(Don't worry about me leaving it in, even though my tank is a jungle and could probably chug any ammonia caused by it breaking down, I don't want to test that hypothesis so itll be coming out today.)

I went out of town and came back to a few dead shrimp but what are the critters feasting down on them??

I posted my berried Amano on a group on fb (bc it’s my first time having a berried Amano and I’ve had them for legit months lol) why was every single comment people telling me my big fatahh lobster shrimp was an ORANGE NEO?? one commenter even left a photo of a wild type Amano shrimp (WHICH I HAVE TOO😭) so I commented back the first photo, where she’s eating next to her lil wild boyfriend.😭😭🦐
