Relationship issues
I wanted to come on here and ask if anyone else has ever experienced a kind of déjà vu in their relationships—like you keep finding yourself in the same situations or repeating the same patterns over and over again, even when you’re trying to do things differently.
I experienced sexual abuse from a sibling growing up, and I’ve noticed that I seem to carry certain patterns from one relationship into the next. I’ll get into a new relationship, and eventually it feels like I’m dealing with the same issues all over again, just with a different person.
I’m really trying to understand why this happens and how past experiences can affect the way we approach relationships. Has anyone else experienced something similar or felt like they were repeating the same relationship patterns without understanding why?

Sexual trauma affect the brain in a really long and complexe way. Often victim of this end up repeating the same cycle without realizing it. I cannot really explain how it work but maybe this book can help you.
"The body keep the score". This book explain how your body and your mind keep trace of traumatism over time. Those traumatism can affect your different relationship Inna ritualistic way sometime (in a repeating cycle). Hopefully this can give you some incite.
Just in case, get yourself prepair a bit mentally. Fighting inside our trauma can be quite painfull sometime but it is really useful.
Strength and courage for you. If you have any questions or need anything, do not hesitate to ask
