I have been using this routine for about three months now after having almost no skincare routine my whole life (I’m 26)

I use the glycolic acid once a week. And i was using an eye cream until i ran out maybe a week ago and then started using the ordinary serum.

My main focus was hydration due to having extremely dry skin and it’s definitely helped that. Now I’m wondering what I should add in to help all these bumps and pores? Should I just use my glycolic acid more?

Also wondering if there’s anything I can do for my eye wrinkles 😭 it’s all I can see in photos of myself

I 23 yo/ F have been stalking this thread for a while and I have yet to find advice that works for me when it comes to a good moisturizer. I am at a complete loss at this point and Vaseline isn’t covering it. I have had acne prone combination skin for a large part of my life. The only time it has gone away is when I was on an SSRI (weird I know), but I can’t take those medications anymore. I will list every moisturizer I have tried below and the side effects, I will also post my very bland routine, as I feel that I keep wasting money on things that break me out.

Routine

Cleanser: Eucerin Gentle Cleansing (hydrating cleansing gel) fragrance free

Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream: caused closed comedones on chin and small bumps on forehead

Malezia Moisturizer: caused medium sized bumps on chin and cheeks (I don’t get cheek acne usually) and small bumps in center of forehead, some whiteheads

Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer: bumps on nose, chin, and sometimes cheeks

PanOxyl Balancing Repair moisturizer PM: Red bumps all over face, oily face in morning

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel: caused breakouts on my chin and forehead

I will take any suggestions or help at this point. My face is the clearest it has ever been since cutting out moisturizer, BUT IT IS SO DRY THE TEXTURE IS AWEFUL. Please please help.

After dealing with acne through my teenage years into my early twenties, trying different topicals and creams to little success, I went to a private dermatologists (UK) and was prescribed Accutane. My course ran from August 2024 to June 2025, so not too long.

As I struggled with rosacea throughout treatment, I waited a few months for the redness to fade before putting together a new routine. I’m a student, so I looked for products on the cheaper side and they are quite thrifty! But they’ve really helped to brighten and enliven my skin over the last 6 months.

Hi! I’m trying to figure out whether the clogged-looking pores on my nose are blackheads or sebaceous filaments and what I should do about them.

I’ve been using Isntree Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid twice a week for over 3 months, but I haven’t noticed any improvement. I’m wondering whether I need to use it more frequently, give it more time, or try a different approach/ingredient instead.

19M. I have had acne for a few years now.
My current routine is Cleanser (for oily skin cuz i think that's what I have) and a moisturiser (for dry skin, which I only recently just noticed, but I've been using it for months so I kinda just got used to it). Anyway I use those 2 every morning and night. And only at night before bed I apply some other cream that doesn't have any brand or anything on it that my dermatologist gave me (note that my dermatologist didn't give me either of thise other 2 I mentioned).

I noticed my acne also gets noticeably better when I don't eat anything sweet or salty (like chocolate and chips for example).

I've heard Cerave products aren't that good so I was wondering what else do you guys recommend.

Hi, I am 23F, I have never had a skincare routine at all, I normally just wash my face in the shower. I have large visible pores, redness, and some scarring. I would say my skin is a combination of oily and dry. My cheeks are more dry and my forehead and nose are oily.

So Ive been extremely hesitant on hitting the purchase button..because of their return policy and the hype around it by social media. Price point isnt the issue but ..Someone tell me honestly, is it worth getting my whole skincare routine through typology? I took their test and it seems about right but im not sure if the price point and risk are really worth it. Has it helped you any? Pros & cons?

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate some advice on my skincare routine.

For years, I’ve had persistent red bumps and spots around my chin and mouth area. They tend to keep coming back in the same area, but I’m not sure whether this is actually acne or something else.

This is my current routine:
Morning:

Evening:
If I wear makeup, I double cleanse using Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Cleansing Oil followed by the Haruharu Wonder cleansing gel.
Azeane (15% azelaic acid)

My skin is generally sensitive, dehydrated and prone to breakouts, so I’ve been trying to keep my routine simple.
The red bumps and spots in the photo are mostly concentrated around my chin and mouth, and I’ve been dealing with this issue for years.

Does this look like acne to you, or could it be irritation or something else? Is there anything you would change or add to my routine? Could any of the products I’m using be contributing to this?

I need help figuring out what I’m doing wrong in my current routine. I’ve been doing it for 1 year and still no results. In the pictures you can see my skin and the products I use. My main issues are oil, acne, clogged pores and black heads. Plus I suspect that acnatac makes it even more oily and acne prone.

I noticed I have a lot of bumps around my cheeks? If I pop them a sort of white stuff comes out (gross, I know, sorry!) and I have no idea what it is or how I can fix them? And there’s a lot of bumps on my nose too :(

I'm 23 and really bad with skincare and I feel so embarrassed. All I use right now is Cerave foaming facial and vanicream daily moisturizer. I feel like my skin is fine...? It usually looks kinda dull and I feel like a lot of moisturizers are way too greasy. I use whatever's at Walmart that sounds fine enough, I can't really afford expensive stuff and get kinda overwhelmed with everyone else's 12 step skincare routine haha.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm more than willing to learn about routines!! So sorry if this post sounds dumb!!!

as a heavy dry, acne-prone guy, i’ve been looking for a ceramide-based moisturizer that isn’t too heavy and also doesn’t cost a fortune.

i mainly wanted something for my morning routine, especially for days when i’m staying indoors, or sometimes before going to the gym at night.

i already use aestura atobarrier 365 at night, but using it in the morning feels like a double-edged sword. it’s too expensive to use both day and night, and honestly, it’s a little too heavy under my boj sunscreen.

so i kept looking for alternatives. i tried illiyoon lotion, but unfortunately it gave me red rashes (probably because of all the botanical/leaf extracts). vanicream facial moisturizer and la roche-posay double repair were also more expensive than i wanted.

i was honestly about to give up on finding something that checked all the boxes until i came across this new moisturizer.

i was skeptical because i’d used a vanicream cream before and remember it giving me a slight stinging sensation. but wow… this one is genuinely a generational product.

it’s silky, lightweight, and feels incredibly soothing. it has 5 ceramides, and despite being marketed for dry skin, it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy at all. there are also no oils or super-heavy emollients, which is exactly what i was looking for.

and the value is crazy. 12 fl oz for around $14. 😭

if you’re looking for a lightweight ceramide moisturizer for dry, acne-prone skin, definitely give this one a shot. i’m honestly really impressed so far.

i (24 f) have had eye bags my whole life but in the last year or two they’ve been getting much darker and pronounced, especially on the right side

no matter what foundation or concealer i use it doesn’t rly cover them, i’ve tried colour correcting too but it is hardly ever effective

the left one is okay but the right one is so much worse in person, especially the fact that it’s a double one… it srsly makes me look crazy.

does anybody have any suggestions on techniques i can use / products i can get / changes i can make to try help the appearance of them? tysm in advance!!

I’ve been researching acne-scar treatment and I’m realizing that “acne scars” is probably too broad a diagnosis when it comes to choosing a procedure.

Some clinics recommend regular microneedling, others push RF microneedling or fractional laser, and deeper scars seem to sometimes need completely different approaches.

For people who had a proper scar assessment, what actually determined the treatment plan?

Was it scar type and depth, skin tone, pigmentation risk, how much downtime you could tolerate, or the amount of collagen remodeling needed?

I’d rather understand the reasoning before committing to a package of sessions.

I haven't seen much posted about this brand but I discovered it about a year ago after a family friend who is an aesthetician gave me some of their products. I am HOOKED. They are so good. The brand is woman founded and everything is made in Korea. I have been using this marine collagen serum (see my empties for proof lol), the brightening mask, and modu mask and am honestly shocked by how much my skin glows and has improved. As someone who has struggled with acne I was really worried about integrating these in with my azelaic acid treatments but I haven't had negative reactions to any of their products.

Attached my before & after pictures 6 months apart, no makeup and my empties from the last 6 months of serum. Just found this sub and I'm obsessed!

(18y/o) I have always washed my face twice daily with warm water and gentle cleanser/moisturizer and frequently get acne. Everytime there is a breakout, washing my face results in bleeding since the slightest friction will pop the acne. Currently on accutane but it's really frustrating, all my face towels get super bloody and i smell dry blood on myself. ATP should i wash my face less since the acne popping probably worsens the problem?

(I think i wash my face really gently and pat dry so that isn't the problem)

So not too long ago I went on a “all natural” clean skincare routine I’m talking about like oils, beef tallow, things our ancestors used basically 😭 but I did more research and just decided to stick to normal products that still have clean ingredients , I just ran out of a face oil I would put on my face but wake up with it DRY. Is there a moisturizer for combination skin that I could apply or should/could I use a barrier repair cream nightly and use a moisturizer in the day instead ?

I've been using this stuff for a few years now, it's not only great to calm post-breakout skin, it really works around my eyes and on my upper lip where I tend to get fine lines. I've been buying the 1.69 oz tube for $29.99 a couple of times a year.

When I went to get more today, they only have the .5 oz size, which is $12.88? So it's gone from $.17/oz to $25/oz? Since January? That is crazy to me. (I am bad at math but I think that is right.) Also I don't want to have to buy it six times a year instead of twice.

I've seen a lot of posts in here for dupes on the redness-correcting version, but am wondering if there is a good dupe for the OG purple one. Just feel like a lot of the redness correcting ones also have some drying/astringent properties, which I don't need, and some have clay or other things in there which tend to clog my pores.

If not, if anyone has some money that would be great.

Does anyone know a sunscreen that doesn’t leave a glow/shine on the face? Every brand I’ve used leaves my face shiny/glowy. I know many people like this effect but I really don’t. I’m looking for a sunscreen that just looks like I moisturized my face or better yet that I don’t have anything on (if those are possible).

I'm a 32-year-old male and I'm hoping you can help me with some persistent breakouts I've been having. I've never really dealt with acne before, but this has been going on for a while and nothing I try seems to make it go away.

My Issue:
As you can see in the photos, the breakouts are concentrated on my eyebrows, between my brows, and on my temples. They almost always come up in the exact same spots.
The spots are often inflamed and rarely come to a head. When they do go down, they leave marks.

What I've Tried:
For a while, I thought it was my work safety glasses, as the pressure was in those areas. However, I haven't worn them for a bit, and the breakouts persist, so I've ruled that out.

For context Im switching from alternating between curology, glycolic acid, and retinol, to just using tret and azelaic acid. I use centella spf and I use vitamin c drops, those two Im gonna keep using but I’m stopping the old stuff mentioned. Right now I just use the cleanser and moisturizer that comes with the curology. What should I use instead as a cleanser and as a moisturizer? Is there anything else I should get too? Thanks.

I’ve had acne since I was maybe 12-13? Annoying but not concerned because that’s common for teenagers. Around 17-18 I became more self conscious about it and explored korean skincare slightly (oil cleansing, toners, serums, etc) and my skin started glowing but pimples were unaffected. It was never cystic or clustered, rarely got blackheads or scarring, just CONSTANT freaking whiteheads and red spots. I’ve tried bp, adapalene, clindamycin, whatever it was either did nothing or ruined my skin barrier so much that I couldn’t wash my face without it stinging.
I felt like it wasn’t too bad for awhile but last year my whitehead charts went up AND forehead texture made an appearance, now I wake up with new spots every day next to the red post-acne that’s takes 2-6 business weeks to fade. So basically my chin is always pink is and my forehead bumps like to show off whenever I step under light. Additionally there are these dark spots I think are sebaceous filaments but they’re so freaking visible I hate it. My GP eventually referred me to a derm and this is the current routine I’m following with the products I was recommended.

before bed: cetaphil gentle exfoliating SA cleanser -> either azclear or tretinoin 0.01% (altering nights) -> cetaphil SA lotion
morning: wash with just water -> either azclear mixed with the SA lotion or just the moisturizer by itself

I used to use beauty of joseon relief sun aqua fresh but haven’t been using any sunscreen at all for a couple of months because I feel like I’m putting too much product on my skin and my nose always immediately starts sweating after doing my routines? Also sometimes use the ordinary niacinamide serum but having trouble fitting it in with the other stuff.

I don’t even go out without a pimple patch anymore and use them overnight but it seems like they’re not very effective unless I poke or pop before putting them on (and even then it’s 50/50). I know it’s bad to but I seriously can’t be going to work with my whiteheads glaring at everyone.
I was told my next option is birth control because it could be a hormonal thing or dropping another couple hundred (that I can’t afford) to go back to the derm so they can give me more pricey medications that may or may not work.

I stay hydrated, I wash my pillowcases, I really just don’t know what to do anymore. I’m hoping it’s something stupidly obvious that one of you can point out for me and I’ll start seeing improvement. Thanks for reading this far!!

Hi guys, i want to hear yall recomendations abt my skin

Im a teenager and my acne started around august/september 2024, it was few pimples and it got worse until january 2025.

I can say that in jan 2025 it was the worst, i had big red pimples on my chin, and my cheeks.

After that i dont really remember but it kinda got better still had acne but not big ass ones xD)

Here is me now, soon turning 16, used azealic acid 5% for 2 months with no big improvements, but since i stopped using it i think my cheeks got little worse, and my skin gets more oily (i think)

I change my pillowcase every couple days, dont really have a good diet and not really drinking much water but im changing that as soon as i get home from vacation!

Also im curentlly using only green ponds clear solutions foam, every morning and night, but i still get couple little whiteheads almost everyday, and only in same places - chin and around nose.

Im definitely going to a dermatologist and changing my diet, water, and other things, cause this is ruining my confidence D: (i know im in puberty and this is a normal thing but i know that i can fix it before it goes away by itself)

So i just posted here cuz i wanna hear opinion from others before i do ⬆️
