I (18F) have some problems with my skin. Recently I just noticed that I have very prominent pores, and although you can't see it from a talking distance, when I look closely and examine my face, they are noticeable to me. I've struggled with skin problems before, but they have been nothing major other than when I was around 10-11, when my acne first started showing up. I just wanted to ask this subreddit if they had any recommendations to minimize pores and underlying pimples. I want to achieve a glass/glossy skin look. I also really want to fix dark spots on my face or places that seem to have some discoloration.
For some context, I want to mention products that I've used over the years of my youth.
(10-13) - Proactiv, St. Ives blackhead remover
(13-15) - Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion, Cetaphil Oil Absorbing moisturizer, Cerave 50 SPF sunscreen, Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser
(15-18) - Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion, Cerave 50SPF sunscreen, Black Girl Sunscreen Kids 50 SPF sunscreen, The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser (use everyday), Naive green tea face wash (use it every once in a while).
I stopped using the Cerave sunscreen because I saw that Cerave products do animal testing so I wanted to move away from that. Of course I'm still using the Cerave Moisturizer because I did buy a whole bottle before knowing the information, so I'm gonna use the whole thing and hopefully I can find a better alternative to it, but I just had a realization that I don't use that either cause the Black Girl Suncreen is a moisturizer as well as a sunscreen. I moved over to the Black Girl Sunscreen because I did read that it was reef-friendly, vegan, and cruelty free. It does however blend way better on my face because the Cerave sunscreen did indeed leave a white-cast. I recently bought a little silicone scrubber for my face in hopes that something does change about my underlying bumps.
If anyone has any recommendations, let me know! It would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: forgot to mention that my skin is normal to oily
