Vadagar drops

After numerous attempts at the Vadagar duo it seems that while the drop rates for the armour are reasonable, the drop rates for weapon fragments are horrible.

Even without counting the quite high number of times I only got joineries without boss specific drops, I have so far gotten only one fragment of the royal tines (which instead has dropped whole at least 3-5 times).

Considering that between the tines, the gathannan and the marrow there are 8 total fragments I don't know if I'm just unlucky or need to recalibrate my expectations.

Have you found any particular patterns in the drops from these 2 bosses? (For example spawn location, autonomous night spawn vs votive spawn, normal vs cogah)

The Royal Tines doesn't drop as fragments any more as far as I can tell. It drops built with random craft work and tempers.

The Gathannan and the Marrow's Bane have godawful low drop chance though .

Location, time of day and whether it's Cogah doesn't seem to affect it any, but with the very low drop percentage on those it would be hard to tell.

Cogah does affect the rarity of the drop on the Royal Tines though.

I have one fragment for the tines and it says it needs 2. To me it's a situation like duhk halik where it's much easier to just get it already built so it being craftable is kind of useless

That kind of thing happens with games in development.

You got it from Garren Rood when you freed him, along with one fragment for each of his other kit. They probably just haven't patched it out of that quest reward yet.

You can safely ignore it and just use the crafted ones.

Just for some perspective, I've played off and on since last November/December, and just got my first (and second, from the very next stag crazily enough) Gathannan fragment a few days ago
