It only took 400 EMPEROR DAMNED HOURS to realise I hadn't marked a CARNIFEX. EVER. The single GREATEST TIP I have ever seen on this sub is that if you are ALSO a completionist and love getting achievments, and you ALSO have only one or two enemies missing off of the "mark every enemy type" achievment, CHECK YOUR DATA CENTRE. If you have researched an enemy type with the blue/purple ordeal credits in the data centre, it will tell you on the left side of the lore paragraph if you've ever marked it. If you haven't, the icon is greyed out. I genuinely could've done this 50-100 hours ago if I'd known that. But yeah, I love this game, I love my Primarch, I love shiny badges, HYDRA DOMINATUS!
Hey, so I bought this game after Helldivers 2 got the Warhammer 40k warbond and I was rocking it, so I wanted to try this game out too, and I can't stop playing it.
I'm nearly finished with the campaign and I wanted to ask a few questions regarding the late game. I already saw some clips and some posts here about how new players can be annoying, and I wanted to avoid being that guy, so I have a few questions.
What should I avoid as a newby and where should I start after the campaign? What is an easy beginner class and which one should be next? Also what should be the right difficulity to start? And any other tip is very welcome.
I'm sorry if these are very common questions I just don't want to be the annoying noob of the team.
the Jetpack "malfunctions" are sooo fucking annoying. The moment the surface isn't just a flat plain, it becomes so unreliable. Like, it's a fucking Jetpack but i can't even jump up a stair with it or down a ledge. Also, why does it snap onto enemies when i am clearly aiming 2m besides them (on PC)?
On another note because I do not want to make another topic for it: how the fuck do I aim the powerfist? It goes in the direction I want maybe 60% of the time, even with lock on, and sometimes my character will simply do a 180 degree turn for no reason even though all enemies are in front of me.
Dude was level 25 4th Prestige. Its amazing how many people still dont know siege strats.
For anyone who still doesnt know. They creative passive income and item spawns and payout more than they cost. Enough points for muiltiole Dreadnoughts if you want.
I was in a lobby with two Blood Angels communicating on mic. I basically carried these two guys to wave 15 on hard Siege (I had the Friendly Fire Atonement), then in the elevator, right before they hit the button to complete the wave, I dropped a Melta & killed us all. They went crazy on the mic, it was beautiful.
Never trust a Son of Horus, what were they thinking?
Ever since I listened to the voice over by DQVO, I have come around to Imperial Fists a good bit (and more specifically Camba Diaz, obviously), and I have to say they're a lot cooler than I gave them credit for initially. Below is a link to the voice over (it's worth the listen).
I'm honestly really proud of how my cosplay turned out!
Many believe that if the RNG gods do not grant them the gift of 'Sharpshooter - Ranged damage at ranges greater than 10 metres is increased by 75%,' that their run is as good as done.
But there exists another blessing that rivals this arguably overrated blessing.
It is more destructive, not limited by range or damage type, and compounds with weapon perks to further increase its power.
The only catch is that you must trade your sense of comfort to unlock its ferocity.

Damage Reduction
"There is a function in-game that increases the player's health damage reduction as his health point approaches 0, starting from 25% health. From 25% to 1% health, the player gains up to 30% health damage reduction. From 1% to 0% (death), the player gains up to 80% health damage reduction"
Understanding how your final bar of health's effectiveness increases as it decreases will give you the confidence needed to pull this off.
"If we have any health reduction effect (such as conviction or low hp defence), damage will be further reduced. If we have 20% health damage reduction, we reduce 0.6 chip damage down to 80%, or 0.48."
Fortitude (15%-30% more health), Conviction (take 25% less damage) and other perks present on each class decrease the damage taken enough to keep you alive, even at less than a quarter of HP.

Low HP Buffs Synergy
Weapon perks such as 'Survival Instinct - When your Health is below 30%, you deal 25% more Damage' and 'Adamant Hunter - When your Health is below 30%, Headshots deal 25% more damage' synergize with Doomed Offensive, which provides a staggering 72% damage increase at 20% health.

Late-Wave Scenario Math
Sniper with Deathwatch Stalker Bolt Rifle
307 (Majoris HP)/35 (damage of one headshot without cloak) = 9 headshots to incap one Majoris enemy at Absolute level
"I got bad rng" "I can't kill anything" "I have to speed run it"
What happened to "WE are going to work together to kill everything one way or another."
I have played Siege since Patch 11/before the massive rework; if you could not win then, it used to be acceptable to say that it was because your team just could not cut it. I follow this same philosophy even now.
But all I see these days is everyone complaining that they themself did not receive the Sharpshooter blessing.
Not that their team was not good enough, not that their team did not spend their credits and instead hoarded them, but that I, the individual player, were not lucky enough.
We used to fight hordes without any blessings, any turrets, or mines, or even cadians. There were not even tech priests to spawn hella stims on the map.
And somehow it is the game's fault.
Ya'll been spoiled is what's gone on. And I am tired of everyone acting like it is anything but the team's fault.
