❓ Question Is it possible to have 2 Spectator modes connected to a single connected Lens?

Tried linking two phones to spectate the same Lens simultaneously, didn't work last time. Docs still show its one device at a time, has anyone found a workaround?

I'd like to have multiple camera angles whilst live-streaming my performances.

Lens Update! ArtGuide Update: Generate 2D & 3D References, AI Feedback & Voice Tutoring

I know ArtGuide just launched, but I couldn't wait to drop a major update!

You can now generate 3D still-life references and project them straight onto paper, create reference images on the fly, and get real-time AI feedback. Plus, I've added a voice tutor and a brand-new guided tutorial to help first-time users dive right in.

ArtGuide is a spatial drawing and composition assistant for Specs that places accurate guides, references, and creative tools directly onto a real sheet of paper, canvas, wall, tabletop, or easel.

Artists can select from common international, American, watercolor-paper, and canvas sizes—including A2–A6, Letter, Legal, Tabloid, popular inch-based canvases, and standard proportions. They can also draw a completely custom format by tracing their own surface. ArtGuide detects the surface, preserves its real dimensions and proportions, and provides controls for repositioning, rotating, tilting, banking, resizing, and fine alignment.

The experience includes 30 instructional composition guides:

  • Foundations: Rule of Thirds, Golden Ratio, Golden Spiral, Quadrants, Diagonal Method, Dynamic Symmetry, Golden Triangle, and Scaling Grid.
  • Format-based construction: Nested Halves, Root Rectangle, and Rabatment.
  • Visual flow and emphasis: S-Curve, Radial Burst, Steelyard, Concentric Rings, Horizon Ratios, and Rule of Odds.
  • Perspective: One-Point Perspective, One-Point Room, One-Point Depth, Two-Point Perspective, and Three-Point Perspective.
  • Design principles: Alignment, Visual Balance, Visual Hierarchy, White Space, Rhythm, Movement, Emphasis, and Proximity.

Each guide is adapted to the physical proportions of the selected surface rather than being stretched as a generic overlay. Adjustable guides—such as perspective, grids, and radial compositions—include controls for vanishing points, horizon position, divisions, opacity, rotation, and visibility. ArtGuide can also narrate a short lesson explaining how to use the active guide.

Artists can load a reference from the companion ArtGuide Reference Desk or upload their own image. The website (natashagubernov.com/artguide) includes categorized lettering, drawing, painting, and classic-art references, with additional filtering by portrait, square, or landscape format. Inside ArtGuide, the reference can be aligned to the real canvas, faded, hidden, blended, repositioned, and perspective-corrected by adjusting its corners.

AI features help artists develop and evaluate ideas directly within the experience. ArtGuide can:

  • Generate photographic or traceable line-art references designed around the active composition guide.
  • Generate subjects such as landscapes, still-life, portraits, figures, flowers, animals, trees, and interiors.
  • Accept a custom subject through spoken or typed input.
  • Produce new variations with different lighting, weather, viewpoints, and visual details.
  • Analyze the selected reference in relation to the current guide and provide a focused composition critique.
  • Read lessons and feedback aloud while the artist continues working.
  • Generate a 3D still-life subject that can be placed beside the drawing surface, resized, viewed from different angles, and projected onto the paper.

ArtGuide also supports saving and recalling a working setup, repinning the experience to a surface, toggling guides and references independently, and hiding the interface for an unobstructed drawing view. Together, these features turn a physical workspace into an interactive art-learning environment for planning, observing, tracing, composing, and practicing.

There’s no way I could show everything this game has to offer in just 30 seconds - so check it out and see if you can beat my score! https://www.spectacles.com/lens/44ab8a0099c245e2b6c492c7e5a2b9e4?type=SNAPCODE&metadata=01

Crystal Defense is a tabletop tower-defense game built for Snap Specs. Players place a miniature battlefield on a real table and defend a magical crystal through a twelve-wave campaign.

Core gameplay

  • Place, rotate, and resize the game board on a real-world surface.
  • Build towers during timed preparation phases.
  • Earn essence by defeating enemies and clearing waves.
  • Defend the crystal from enemies traveling along a glowing lane.
  • Receive a bonus for starting waves before the preparation timer expires.
  • Fight through twelve increasingly difficult waves and a final two-boss siege.

Towers

  • Spire — rapid single-target attacks.
  • Frost — slows groups of enemies.
  • Mortar — powerful ground-only splash damage.
  • Prism — an unlockable beam tower effective against armor.
  • Every tower supports two upgrade levels.
  • Towers can be selected, inspected, upgraded, and sold during play.

Enemies

  • Crawlers — standard frontline enemies.
  • Runners — fast-moving attackers.
  • Brutes — slow, heavily armored units.
  • Wisps — flying enemies that bypass ground-only Mortars.
  • Devourers — powerful boss enemies.
  • Revenants — corrupted versions of the player’s friends that begin appearing during Wave 8.

Social and Bitmoji features

  • Up to four friends appear around the battlefield as Keepers.
  • Keepers can be transformed into Revenants during later waves.
  • Friends who have higher leaderboard scores make Revenants stronger.
  • The Guardian provides a rechargeable board-slam ability that damages and stuns enemies.
  • Bitmoji animations support idle, walking, attacking, celebrating, and damage reactions.

Progression and replayability

  • Persistent best scores, highest wave, total kills, and daily records.
  • Friends leaderboard with score submission and retrieval.
  • Daily gameplay modifiers that alter enemy strength, speed, rewards, or starting resources.
  • Four rotating battlefield layouts with different routes, rubble, and tower-placement opportunities.
  • Earnable shards used to purchase permanent relics.
  • Relics provide lasting bonuses such as additional starting essence, crystal health, and tower unlocks.
  • Guided tutorial and reusable help panel.

Presentation and accessibility

  • Fully spatial, table-mounted interface rather than a head-locked HUD.
  • Animated portal, crystal, lane, projectiles, impact effects, and wave notifications.
  • Spatial sound effects, ambient music, and event-specific audio.
  • Remote 3D model loading keeps the initial Lens lightweight.
  • Primitive fallback models ensure the game remains playable if an asset fails to download.
  • Gameplay continues without Bitmoji, leaderboard access, optional animations, or remote assets.
  • Performance-oriented pooling for enemies, projectiles, effects, materials, and audio.

❓ Question Community challenge registration not working

I wanted to submit two lenses but Registration button doesn’t work for me, nothing happens when I press it. It still hours left to the deadline and I don’t know why it wouldn’t be working or what I can do about it.

Lens Update! Talking Timmy conversation enhancement update

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This update makes Timmy's conversations multimodal and spatially aware and therefore more fun. When you ask what you are seeing, holding, or pointing at, Timmy combines a fresh Specs camera capture with Gemini vision, depth localization, and hand tracking to understand the intended object. Gesture context is linked to the spoken turn, allowing natural questions such as “What is this?” without menus or visible markers.

Conversation can now create personalized AR moments. When you express enthusiasm for something, Timmy can quietly turn that interest into a Snap3D gift while he keeps the conversation going. He later presents the generated item in a giftbox for you to open. Try to make him spoil the response, because he won't. :)

This update also improves continuity through refined personality guidance, reliable tool responses, echo protection, voice-activity detection, offline recovery, and automatic reconnection. Timmy’s existing memories now influence richer dialogue and personalized gifts, while every new environment provides different objects and conversations—creating a stronger recurring value.
