Returns, Trade-Ins & Refunds Assurant Trade in via UPS QR Code: Zero Updates

Sent my old phone in to Assurant using the UPS QR code.

It shows delivered as of Friday. But when checking the status online it still shows as “awaiting shipment”

Is this normal? How long can I expect it will take to process my trade in?

They get hundreds of phones at the same time, then another department starts opening the boxes and actually checking them in so you're probably waiting for them

Ok but it’s been shipped for more than a week and the status tracker doesn’t even show that.

I've seen it take two to three weeks after they get it before they even check it in depending on how many they get that day

You'll only get an update when it's actually inspected. Does the tracking number from your receipt show it as being delivered? If so you should be fine, their tracking portal is pretty much useless unless they already checked the device.

I did the QR code drop off as well on August 12th & got the inspection & promo confirmation email on the 20th.

Colour me surprised, that credit was actually sitting on my Spectrum account already. Just contacted support to have the $668 refunded to my debit card trading in my S20 FE for a Flip 8. Last year it took well over 60 days to get the credit to post to my account.

Same thing happened to me recently. It took 4 business days after they received it to inspect. I received a notification regarding the inspection and the tracker finally updated the following day.

I had the same issue. No updates on the website after I dropped it off at UPS even after UPS tracking showed it as delivered. Four days after delivery I received a confirmation email it was accepted.

The trade in takes 1 to 2 billing cycles to apply
