I got my new Starlink mini in the mail yesterday. The unprotected STARLINK network has a password. I have tried the factory reset. Yes it is my starlink I’m trying to connect to as I am in outback Northern Territory and there is no other starlinks near me. Any help would be appreciated

I have a little Bluetti Elite 30 as a UPS on my standard Starlink. It's 288 wh and renders a few hours of power, which is long enough to report the blackout and get an estimate of when power will be restored and, if necessary, fire up the generator. Because of the ineffiencies of DC-AC-DC, I've been looking at the Starlink DC-DC power supply. Seems useful, but looking at the specs --

-- I see that the power supply wants 12-48 volts at 30 amps. I should be able to attach the transformer to the "cigarette lighter" output of the Bluetti and everything work tickety-boo, and, with the inverter removed from the circuit, get a substantial increase in runtime. But 30 amps? The Bluetti tops out at 10 amps DC. Does the specification mean no more than 30 amps? Does the ordinary Starlink power supply somehow cook up 30 amps from standard wall voltage?

Would like to get the DC-DC power supply to work. Don't want to burn down the house. And I cannot see how it needs this much juice, when the purpose is saving electricity.

Hi. I got Local Priority subscription plan. How do I retrieve GPS data from starlink satellites via grpc api? If not, which subscription plan grants that functionality?

I set up the Starlink and told my dad there is no way the Starlink is secure enough underway (main reason he wanted to use it) with the current setup because the backing just slides in and has a mechanical kind of clip in.

Is tethering the Starlink with a strong wire to the mount then using the tie down in the 4th picture safe enough? I would have the metal part on the back end and then have two wraps around and over each side of the backing

But downloading videos off the internet takes 2 hours for a 2.2gb video. I’m losing my mind over here. I go to my girlfriends house who has fiber and her down load speed is average 250mbps I was able to download another 2gb video in less then 5 minutes at my house I have only my tv and my phone connected and using WiFi right now and my grandfather that is using the tv is only watching YouTube at 720p.
None of this WiFi makes sense to me.

Long story ran over my cord. It did not cut the cord, but it ripped the cord out of the unit that is outside..

I placed it back in and it doesn’t work. I inspected the inside of the port and it does not appear to be damaged

I have verified multiple times that the cord is not cut or crimped. I have reset the unit router multiple times.

Does anybody have any suggestions before I buy a new cord (it will require me to drive an hour to get a new cord or wait two days to get one shipped)

Are there different versions of Gen 2 cables?

When my house was built two years ago I had a starlink cable installed from an interior closet to the soffit under the edge of the roof. It was Gen 2, which was the current version at the time. The cable runs through the walls and joists and can’t be removed.

Now I tried to install a gen 2 articulated starlink system that I purchased. Using that installed cable the router will not connect to the dish. The system works great when I test with the cable it came with.

Might the installed cable be a different version? In which case I would need a different Gen 2 system to work with it? Or is it just a defective cable and nothing I can do about it.

I was checking out purchasing a residential Starlink home internet plan. I put in my address and it starts out with the $130.00 plan and the options I can choose. It has drop downs for the other two speed plans, 200 and 100 mbps. But I can't see where to select those. When I click on checkout it's always the $130 plan. What am I missing? Thanks

“ Business Name Required” while entering credit card information

Not 100% sure what the issue is caused by so I’m seeing if anyone here has had something similar.

We had Starlink installed a few days ago to replace EE. We got rid of our landlines under the presumption WiFi calling would work on the mobiles. We all have IOS phones with O2 as our providers, all with WiFi calling allowed in our contracts.

Simply put it doesn’t work. Cannot receive or call anyone with the phone app. WhatsApp works but obviously can’t call everyone with WhatsApp.
I’ve looked into changing DNS settings. Rebooted the satellite, rebooted the router, no joy.

Grok on the app in support says it must be an O2 issue with them having a geolocation or IP ban and to call them Monday when open.

Anyone had an issue similar?

I had a remote construction project which used a Starlink system for internet. Once rhe project was complete I asked for the Starlink system to be dismantled and shipped back to the head office. This is what arrived. Is it Starlink hardware? I was expecting to see Starlink branding everywhere but I see nothing

For the 90 day period before transferring I’m wondering if customer service will be able to speed that along because my dad purchased one for me but it’s locked to his account for the next 90 days any advice on this situation?

Okay, what do I need for starlink? I get the kit, mount it to wherever, so it's got a clear view of the sky, run the cable into the house. And then what just a regular router?

And should I go permanent or portable?

What's the difference is between permanent and portable? I do realize permanent means it stays there forever, and portable means I can move it from spot to spot. But what other difference is there? To me, it would make more sense to get a portable unit. And I could literally take it with me anywhere if I wanted

And last question, do you honestly get a 100 megs down most of the time.

I’m looking for some advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar Starlink account suspension.

One of my Starlink accounts has been suspended, and Starlink Support told me that the account may be associated with suspected unauthorized resale.

They are currently asking me to provide additional information, including:

Whether I manage accounts for other users

Whether I make payments for other Starlink accounts

Where the equipment was purchased

Whether the service is being used for business purposes

Whether the phone number, email, shipping address, and payment card belong to me

Government ID and a photo of the payment card (with only the last four digits visible)

I want to cooperate with Starlink and resolve the issue, but I’m not sure what information they are actually looking for or what the best way to explain the situation is.

The equipment involved was purchased from a retail store in Dubai rather than directly from Starlink.com. Some of the equipment is used by other users, including fixed installations and mobile/vehicle use.

I’m not trying to misrepresent anything to Starlink. I just want to understand what their concern is and what the proper way to resolve the suspension would be.

Has anyone here experienced something similar, especially:

An account suspended for suspected unauthorized resale

Multiple Starlink accounts being managed or paid for by the same person

Equipment purchased from a third-party retailer being flagged

Being asked to provide ID and payment-card verification

Successfully getting an account reinstated after this type of review

If you went through something similar, I’d really appreciate hearing what happened and what information Starlink asked you to provide.
