Curriculum Help - Virology / Mythology Mashup

I’m really curious on the process of setting up a personal curriculum. I have two very different topics I’d like to learn in tandem but I’m a bit unsure on where to start or how to merge them together in a cohesive curriculum 🤔

I’ve started gathering resources for my topics — the subjects I’m wanting to learn more about is Microbiology / Virology (my main topic) and Ancient Greek Mythology / Sciences.

Is anyone studying the same? Does anyone have any good starting points on where I can begin structuring this?

Math website (?)

I tried looking this up on Google but only AI math websites came up.
Is there a website where I can create Questions and create answers and solutions?
One of my friends struggles extremely with algebra (And math dyslexia), and unfortunately they are in college and I work full time. They LOVE practicing math, but do not understand how to get the answers very well, which I used to just explain to them (this has worked for years as I know how to explain it in a way they understand, but they also have had a head injury so they forget easily).
I love him, and I know he won’t ask anyone else for help due to feeling ashamed.

I started studying in 20 minute “messy sessions” and somehow got more done

I used to think studying only counted if I had a clean desk, my phone far away, perfect notes and at least an hour of free time.

The problem was that I kept waiting for that perfect moment and then ended up doing nothing.

One day I was running late and only had about 20 minutes before I had to leave. Instead of skipping studying completely I opened my notes and told myself I could study badly for those 20 minutes. No rewriting notes no making things pretty. I just picked one small topic and tried to understand it.

I actually remembered more than I expected.

Now I sometimes do these short messy sessions when I don't feel motivated. I might review five flashcards or solve two questions or explain one topic to myself out loud.

It made me realize that studying doesn't always have to feel like a serious two hour session. Sometimes starting small is enough to get your brain moving.

Has anyone else found that shorter study sessions work better for them?

Spannend…

Alvast bedankt. 😊

What do you actually do during study breaks when you put your phone in another room?

I struggle a lot with distractions, so I’m planning to keep my phone in a completely different room while working/studying.

My main issue is what should I actually do during my 5-minute breaks? I know I’ll get bored almost instantly. Most standard suggestions (like staring at a wall, stretching, or making tea) sound like things I’ll get tired of after two days.

For those who have successfully separated themselves from their phones, what quick, engaging, or satisfying things worked for you during short breaks without pulling you down a rabbit hole?

I made studying with friends into a competition

I’ve always been way more motivated to study when my friends were studying too, so I started building a little app around that.

The basic idea is pretty simple: track your study time, see your friends’ stats, and compete with each other.
Posting a few screenshots because I’d really like some feedback on the idea/design.

The app is called StudyRank.
