Ran through a puddle during a heavy rainstorm. It did this much damage.

So, I was driving to a friends house when it started raging pretty hard, was stopped at a stop light over a puddle, once the light turned green I started driving and heard a pop like my trunk flew open.

The rear bumper panel is held on by 2 bolts, 1 on each side, and clips. That’s it. And the entire undercarriage is connected to it. My car is currently not drivable and I couldn’t get an appointment until a month later. There was a recall for this but not for my year. Thanks Tesla!

Unexpected FSD side effect (not a complaint or criticism)

I recently picked up my 2026 MY Premium AWD and have been using FSD quite a bit. I’d had a Tesla about a year ago, and FSD wasn’t nearly as mature as it is now. Was pretty reluctant to use it all that much back then.

Now, the one thing that’s caught me by surprise is that using FSD really takes away much of the potential for shitty driving behavior on my part, behavior that would definitely get my blood pressure up. If I weren’t using FSD, I’d be steering the car myself (duh!), managing who I allow to merge in front of me entering from the entrance ramps on the interstate, when do I pass, etc. And when I’d be doing all that, I’d probably have a few opportunities to bet a bit of an ass, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit. Not allowing someone to merge in front of me for some reason, doing various moves that might be considered aggressive.

HOWEVER, if FSD is in control, those decisions are out of my hands - literally! Driving is a much calmer experience, I must admit. I do have to remember to let FSD “do its thing”, not to be too eager to intervene. Sometimes FSD does have a bit of trouble handling merging traffic smoothly, but I try to let it to what it’s programmed to do.

Apologies if I’m stating the obvious - it just sort of hit me as I was driving this evening. (Well, as FSD was driving!) May FSD continue to evolve and improve!

2021 M3. Was browsing Reddit and saw another user with this peeling glovebox trim problem just a few days ago and then mine fell off! I am attempting to repair it with JB weld plastic bonder. Will report back.

FSD May Have Saved Us! 🚨

We were traveling at around 70 MPH when a car suddenly drifted into our lane. FSD reacted instantly, steering us into the breakdown lane and helping us avoid what could have been a serious collision.
I’ve driven 14,000 miles with FSD engaged for almost all of my driving, and moments like this are a big reason I continue to use it.
Watch the last few seconds closely. 👀

Maestro Grok

Upvotes

I need more speaking practice so I decided to use Grok as a Spanish teacher on my long commute . It was actually amazing! I’m at a B1 level and it was able to practice with me seamlessly. It corrected me accurately and I learned about 5 new words in 10 minutes. It was even better than my AI Spanish speaking app. I really think you could completely learn Spanish with Grok .

Getting cut off more

New Tesla owner ~3 months. Get cut off way more in my Tesla than any of my previous ICE vehicles. Coming up to a merge today using FSD, I hear a long honk and my car serves slightly to the right. At the next light this guy got in the left turn lane and stopped far back so I wouldn’t be stopped next to him lol.

Could also just be coincidence, FSD’s driving habits triggering people, or I’m just more attuned.

.99% Expiration

I have a Model Y on order with .99% APR approval. I was just reading the fine print and it says the rate is valid for 30-60 days depending on lender. If the car takes longer than that to arrive, the .99 could go away?

Tesla Browser Default Home Page

Upvotes

I can't understand why Tesla would do any sort of development on the internal web browser and not add basic features like the ability to set a default home page....

Mine blowing.

Yet another design failure from Tesla.

Just recently got a Tesla powerwall, only because it was the cheapest option. The app buttons at the bottom are so close to the phones buttons, its almost impossible to switch. Its also really annoying to look at, since its not aligned properly and going over the graphics slightly. Bad design and functionality. Don't even get me started on the pain it took just to get the stupid thing registered to my account, took more then a week.
