That's crazy, right? Imagine what could've been if Paramount hadn't dropped the ball. With proper marketing and a good IMAX release date, this movie would've made so well at the global box office. They underestimated how popular ATLA is worldwide

Great news for those of us who have been waiting for this!

• Book 1 Korra versus Zuko and General Zhao (The battle will take place in the North while the water tribe fights off the Fire Nation army just like in the original, but Korra just has to beat these two to seal the match)
• Book 2 Korra versus Zuko, Azula and the Dai-Li (Aang fought them alongside Katara, but since Korra's fully realised, I believe it's still fair for her to go in alone; if not, Book 2 Mako can tag along)
• Book 3 Korra [no poison] versus Firelord Ozai (The battle will take place during Sozin's comet)
• Book 4 Korra [post PTSD recovery] versus Tagah (Round 1, Tagah without the staff, round 2, with the staff, can she get it from him?)

Wan Shi Tong is one of my favorite character from the show (love birds so much), so I decided to make a cuddly plush just for me, for once <3

Korra had to leave the spirit portals open so that the Southerners could reconnect with local spirits and stop the angered spirit attacks (which worked)

but many argue this was a bad decision because dangerous spirits like Koh now have access to the human world. But didn’t Koh and Father Gloworm always have access to the human world?

To my understanding, all closing the spirit portals does is prevent humans from using bending to attack spirits and prevent spirits from using spirit energy to attack humans- because humans and spirits have always been able to show up and interact with the other world without physically crossing over.

Here are my takes on this controversy-

Zuko acted so aggressively that the Earth Kingdom has the right to call him out. ' Prince Zuko, take it easy; you sound like your father.' I agree with the Earth Kingdom because they're still traumatized of displacment that Zuko should've acted more chill with them.

Zuko acted too trigger-happy, so he ignored the Earth Kingdom citizens. I agree with the Earth Kingdom people's plea; Zuko needs to chill.

As someone who understands Zen deeply, I relate to the Earth Kingdom in this comic because they're concerned about Zuko's lack of empathy. They're sidelined in favor of the melting pot without addressing their trauma.

Ignoring the lore that Fire Nation colonies are exploitative by writing Yu Dao as this ''deep'' theme sanitizes imperialism- look what happened to Hawaii.

No is not that deep; you can't hammer the message of coexistence without addressing and reconciling the deep trauma that the Earth Kingdom suffered. Even the Fire Nation destroyed their environment of all things, and they expect us to see this utopia as a happy ending.

In Zen POV, this comic is an insult to what the Earth Kingdom represents.

-Disrespectful to neutral jing and mindfulness because Earth Kingdom people wanted to hear the earth since they're deeply connected- where the idea of Earthbending comes from. Zuko acted like a bully when they were telling him to calm down.

-Rejects the natural order by letting Wu Dao be painted as this utopia by reckoning the atrocities of the Fire Nation. Earth Kingdom expects people to be in harmony with all things, like on Zen.

-Zen encourages empathy and understanding outside one's comfort zone to see the bigger picture about life- the idea of oneness. Earth Kingdom people wanted a reconciliation of their stolen land to heal, but it gets pushed aside by the plot/writing.

First of all, the rivalry between the Fire Ferrets and the Wolfbats could have been more fleshed out in general. Having The Wolfbats win the finals fairly and decisively would have made more sense.

Korra would have been distracted by her fear of Amon, which would have set up Amon as a bigger threat. She did also just join pro-bending, while the others had done it for a while.

Also, narratively, it would make sense to actually show that even such skilled benders were no match for Amon and his Equalists.

For the character Tahno, it would have made sense for him to legitimately be really skilled at waterbending and importantly, better than Korra. That way, when Amon takes his bending away, it feels more tragic and we can root for him to get it back. When Korra speaks to him afterward, it would have made sense for her to empathize with him and complement him.

I think they lacked the proper setup for a clean Wolfbat win to fit in narratively so they chose the easier alternative.

Either way, I still love LoK and I rewatch it every other year or so. What do you think?

Like the new Avatar movie, it reiterates how overpowered a one shot ability is without a counter. It's one of the reasons Tagah was able to solo the team quite easily, but once Aang finds a way to redirect his wind arrow, he easily beats Tagah and takes the staff. But it's clear as day, had Aang not found that counter, he would have lost to Tagah in overall stats. Essentially, the counter made up for the stat gap.

Yet for some reason, it's used to downplay Ozai, implying Aang could always beat him independently of redirection because he beat him with redirection. It's a weird circular argument I've seen regarding Aang vs Ozai and Ozai in general. If a character needs to redirect "YOUR" power back at you, that speaks highly of the character itself.

Imagine if Amon's bloodbending, for example, could be countered in base, no Avatar state. Amon wouldn't even be among the top 5 strongest. That's basically what happens with redirection; it takes an overpowered skill like lightning, a big factor in a fight, and renders it useless.

Now, if you've read this far, I've got a hot take: the base Korra vs. Comet Ozai argument isn't as one-sided as people made it out to be. Not to say Ozai wins, but people were acting like he just gets stomped badly by base non avatar state korra. When aang objectively is much faster than korra and still got Tagged by ozai lightning.

• Book 1 Aang versus Amon (no Ocean Spirit because it's not really a part of Aang's usual arsenal).

• Book 2 Aang versus UnaVatuu (only his human form, no giant Kaiju).

• Book 3 Aang versus The Red Lotus (does the outcome change if he's poisoned?).

• Movie Aang versus Kuvira's Mech.

If Aang knew ahead of time that destroying Sonam’s staff would kill Tagah do you think he would have done it?

Just wanted to share a headcanon I've been thinking about with some like-minded people.

Thinking about the way the world works in Avatar, I often come back to the question of WHY some people are granted bending and others aren't.

As we currently know, as soon as the Avatar dies, a new one is born. The Avatar is unique because their power cycles to different nations. I propose that ALL bending works this way- that as soon as one Firebender dies, another Firebender is born. Because of this, I also propose that the number of benders in the world is actually finite, but large enough based on the original Lion Turtle populations that nobody ever bothered to count.

This is also backed up by the fact that the smallest nation, the Air nomads, were almost exclusively all benders. Secondly this would explain why the children of two benders can be non-benders, and vice-versa. Your spirit is tied to your personal lineage all the way back to the original Lion Turtle colonies. Everyone in the Avatar world "reincarnates"... but only the Avatar has access to their past lives through the direct influence of Raava. And only the Avatar cycles through different lineages because they have access to all 4 elements.

What about the harmonic convergence? Well I think that is explained too. Since all of the Air nomad lineages were killed off, all of those spirits were simply waiting to be reborn. The convergence forced them into the world and into new bodies, which is how the air nation was restored. It's obvious looking between the different Avatars that the "spirit" in this universe is not tied to memories or personalities, but really just energy.

And I hear some similarities especially between his symphony Khorramshahr and the Agni Kai theme from avatar the last Airbender.

I don’t know if it is already a known fact, or just something I noticed.

I also think they used a traditional Persian instrument called Santur somewhere in the soundtrack of avatar.
