Making Time 2026
Ok it’s September so feels like I can finally start really geeking out with excitement about my first Making Time. I don’t think I’ve ever been so overwhelmed by a festival lineup and it kinda paralyzes me with preparing for it. I come to the Overlords for suggestions. Who should I familiarize myself with slash plan on checking out? Particularly smaller names— we all know bicep, skee mask, etc. are gonna rip.
I’ll offer up one first. I’m so excited to experience Topdown Dialectic and pray that they’re scheduled at a sensible time for me. Last year at Mutek their slot was 4 am which is rough for an all day fest.

I’m super excited for Upsammy and Valentina Magaletti, they put out a really sick album this past year so excited to see them preform it live
Octo Octa & Eris Drew always put on the most fun vinyl-only sets
@ and TAGABOW are both incredible live bands from Philly that are definitely worth seeing
Baalti was awesome at the last Making Time party in AC and I’m definitely trying to catch them again

Hell yeah I fuc with upsammy. Gonna check that new album out now.
OO&ED create such a fun vibe, you’re right. Super fond memories from a pride party they headlined at the knockdown ruins a few years back.
Funny enough, was just listening to @ yesterday. I love that this fest has some great chill out acts. I’ll peep Tagabow. And Baalti

I think Ehua is gonna ripp. Nothing at MT is that late tho (2 am is the latest) so more likely you wouldn’t get to see someone because of a conflict

I can also only recommend upsammy! I think she's in some kind of zone right now where every one of her sets are just brilliant (Seen her at WL, Dekmantel)

No her album releases are very different from her DJ sets I would def check them out independently! Her live show with Valentina should cover their new Album together and her b2b with Lena Wilikens will be closer to her solo DJ sets.

not going but def check out jeff parker and mary lattimore. wow this lineup is frustrating to read lol, carlos souffrant, loidis, kiernan laveaux, 1morning, trickpony, beautiful swimmers, and ofc theo parrish octo octa w/ eris drew etc. have fun im jealous

I feel your pain. I’ve been drooling over the past 2 years line ups. And 100 percent checking that Parker and Lattimore set out. Such an intriguing pairing. Thanks for the other recs. Loidis and beautiful swimmers I know but the others are new to me

The more I explore the line up, the more I understand just how stacked it is.
I'm very excited for Batu and Carlos Suffront and John Talabots' disco set. I dont get enough proper disco vibes in my life. I'm also excited for DJ Lag.
There is so much to love. The conflicts will be hell.

If anyone you want to see is playing in the room inside the wall, make sure you get there super early. When I was there 2 years ago, skee mask played 2 different sets in there and the line was like an hour long to get in.
That stage sucks tbh. Too cramped and hot.
Besides that though, it was an incredible fest. Have fun!

Stacked line up. Can't really go wrong.
DJ Maria and Jon Talabot delivered 2 of my favourite techno sets ever last year so I'd be prioritising them.
Konduku and Spray then.
Aurora Halal and Verraco are amazing separately. I'd be curious about a B2B.
Maara, Bashhka, and Roza Terenzi for a party.
They Are Gutting a Body of Water are one of my favourite bands if you're into breakbeaty shoegaze
