Idea/Suggestion Global Remote Raid Queue
There should be a global queue system where Trainers can join the same Remote Raid with other players from around the world.
The concept would be simple: a Trainer chooses the Pokémon they want to raid, joins the queue, and is matched with 20 random Trainers who are looking to raid the same Pokémon. The game would then select a random Gym somewhere in the world where that raid is currently active.
The Raid Lobby would only start once 20 Trainers have joined, ensuring that there are always enough players to participate.
This system would solve several problems that Remote Raiders currently face:
-No more last-second leavers causing Trainers to waste Remote Raid Passes.
-No more joining raids with too few players to successfully defeat the Raid Boss.
-Better coordination when a certain number of Trainers — or Trainers with the necessary Mega Evolutions — are required to break through difficult Raid mechanics.
-No need to constantly rely on random friend invites, where there is often no way to communicate or coordinate when everyone should start the raid.
-A much faster and more reliable experience for Trainers who don’t have access to large local or online communities.
One of the main reasons I hesitate to buy more Remote Raid Passes is the amount of time wasted trying to organize raids, as well as the possibility of losing a pass when a raid fails because there weren’t enough Trainers.
A global queue would solve both of these problems.
It would also create a win-win situation for everyone:
Trainers would get a faster, safer and more reliable way to participate in Remote Raids, while Scopely would likely sell more Remote Raid Passes because players would have much more confidence that their passes would actually result in a successful raid. This could make Remote Raiding significantly more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

This suggestion makes sense to me.PokeGenie's cool, but sometimes you still don't have enough trainers for the raid.

MHN, another Scopely game, already has this where you simply walk up to the monster your want to fight at fixed locations and that'll matchmake you with others.
That's not a desire for PGO. The push is to be in person and raiding with others.

They have it in Pikmin bloom too. You can join mushrooms and have your Pikmin fight there. You can call others to help you remotely or anyone passing by can join and help.

I thought something similar recently, similar to how MMO's do matchmaking. Maybe limit it to 1x per week or a 7-day catch/spin/research streak, and you get a special 'Global' pass where you can queue for one of the currently available raid bosses.
Limit it like they do Golden Lures, where outside of special events you can only have 1 in your inventory so you can't stack them, and it both incentivises regular play and allows rural players a chance at larger raids (without needing to use 3rd party stuff like the subreddit).

Poke Genie. You're welcome.

Bit of a shame that as far as hosting goes for most desirable raids you need to sit around for half an hour to get a lobby.

I recommend buying their express host pass if you want to host a lot of raids in a short time. Worth it imo.

I havent waited more than 10 mins MAX for over 100 raids. Guess it is dependent on what youre trying to raid.

For most legendary raids my wait time is at least 20 minutes. The only exception I have seen in the past several months is when tapu bulu was around, for some reason I got two consecutive lobies within 2 minutes each.

Fair, Ive only started using the app heavy during this event where fortunately there is an obnoxious amount of raids available.

Definitely depends. I've waited a whole hour and timed the raid out.
If Genie looks like it's taking a while I'll always host on Leekduck as well and usually between the two I get some bites

They don't want to sell more remote passes. If they really wanted to sell more remote passes, they wouldn't have increased the price, and we wouldn't have a remote limit - both for raids you can do, and people you can invite.
They want to sell more in-person passes, because it's a lot more valid localisation data. They want to prioritize in-person gatherings.
"The Raid Lobby would only start once 20 Trainers have joined, ensuring that there are always enough players to participate."
Some raids would take hours to have twenty people.

Just adding context specifically about the remote raid limit:
limiting some forms of spending can increase the lifetime spending by players; it's a common tactic that games with microtransactions do. but whether it actually works varies by game and mechanic.
limits can also increase the spending of players who were intending to spend somewhat below the limit, but with a limit, they take that as the amount they should mindlessly do each day. For a related though different example, see the many people who mindlessly do 5 GBL sets every day, or feel like they have to use the 1 free raid pass every day, or open the maximum number of gifts every day.

People here missing the point that its run by scopely now they dont care that much about the in person aspect as niantic did
