Yeah. I know it is kind of cheating but I use that mod because the original setup is mad frustrating.

Even with the mods, they get 1 shot on insane from half the screen away, its so hard to get them to survive

Ha! Without fail. Or they run of and within 3 turns of you taking out said rare, they've attracted a small legion of others that are now between you and the Escort. Good times

My favorite is when they go into dense forest tiles and I can't find them and they die off camera

I personally like it when they spawn in front of 10 bobillion mobs and explode the next turn

I like when I double back to keep track of them, but they ring-around-the-rosie around some trees and end up ahead of me. "I am the escort now!"

Yesterday I was testing madness mode a bit and it was hilarious how escorts literally died in 1 turn.

I have come to terms with the fact they arent supposed to survive unless you can run ahead of them and delete everything. The rewards they offer are very strong after all.
