I'm going to be vacationing in town for a few days and I'm wondering where all the industry workers hang out. As a chef, it's always nice to hang out with like-minded people.

Are you from Tofino or just an internet guy?
Judging by your page follows you're super weird.

Hello. We’ll be in Tofino early next week and it looks like we’ll have some rainy weather. I know the forecast can change, but right now Tuesday and Wednesday aren’t looking good. If we have to skip one day of hiking due to rain, which of these three would you skip?
1)Tonquin trail, Chesterman Beach and Long beach
2)Pacific Rim Rainforest trail A and B
3)Lighthouse loop Uclulet
I am really looking forward to lush old growth forest, and beautiful views. We’re staying in Tofino. Thanks for your advice
Edit: yes, I do get the irony of asking about how to avoid rainy hikes in a rainforest. 😀. We’re prepared to walk in the rain, but if it’s a heavy downpour all day, just trying to be mentally prepared. Thanks for the comments.
Effective August 24.
In Ucluelet, public health services are now provided at the Ucluelet Medical Centre at 2094 Peninsula Road. Clients can access the clinic through the same entrance as Island Health Laboratory Services.
In Tofino, services have moved to Tofino General Hospital. The clinic is located in room 23 in the basement and can be accessed from either the laboratory or physio entrances. Clients arriving at the clinic for appointments are asked to call [250-725-4020](tel:250-725-4020) when they arrive and a staff member will let them in.

My family and I were camping last weekend from Bellingham, WA and my mom who has chronic pain lost a bottle of prescription medication.
We think it may have fallen out of her purse on Saturday. I know it’s a long shot but I thought I would post in case a kind person found it. We went to the Saturday market, Tofino Brewing, and Tinwis Beach. We camped at Surf Junction campground. Thanks.

A friend and I are hoping to visit Tofino for a few days, probably in November, so we'd like to be in sight of the water for storm watching. We'd also love a hot tub and a fireplace. We need separate bedrooms since we both snore. We're open to a hotel/resort or cabin.
I'm a little overwhelmed with the google options so wanted to see if anyone has experience with places like this! We're not bottom budget but we also don't have 5-star money for this.
Never been to Tofino before (I live in Vic) so also open to suggestions of places to shop or chillax things to do. We're more "cozy vacation" than "adventure vacation" people.

If you're already registered, request a ballot! You need to request a ballot every calendar year that you want to vote.
Fill Out and Return Your Ballot: Once you receive your ballot, follow the instructions carefully to complete it and return it by the specified deadline.
Need Assistance?
We're here to help! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at GOTV @ votefromabroad .org (just remove the spaces). Additionally, our FAQ for voting can answer questions on how to make the process go smoothly.
Importantly: Spread the word!
Do you have any friends, contacts or family overseas that you could reach? All eligible US citizens can vote regardless of where they're living. Share the link https://voteabroad.org/RedditVote26: If you have any questions about voting, I'd be happy to answer them here on Reddit. You can also find out what we're doing near you at Democrats Abroad. Thanks for reading!

Tofino and Ucuelet, were they are busy as ever this fair weather season? Lot's of talk of people struggling with affordability, but clearly enough affluence to sustain the west coast tourism?
I'm single, no kids, have a full time career job that pays reasonably and I can't even afford to visit anymore. I had been coming out there since 2006, used to be 3-4 times a year on average... prices have increased exponentially in that time for camping, shared or private accommodation. The luster of the area has certainly rusted and decayed like most things do on the west coast...
I just can't justify dropping over a grand for 3 night stay or a hundred a night to camp in the damp, then add on the cost of food, gas and parking. I remember when Bella Pacifica was $30 a night... in 2013 I rented a cabin right across from North Chesterman Beach for the month of Oct and it cost $900 all included.
I just can't fathom how so many families and travelers can afford the area still? Apparently the economy isn't as bad as the news makes it out to be.

Hi friends,
I'm visiting Tofino in a week and training heavily for a marathon. I'll be running between 15km-33km daily. Any ideas/routes from my local runners? Thanks in advance.

I'm in Tofino from Tuesday to Thursday next week. I'm 7 months pregnant, and realizing I have no photos of my belly (and my husband won't be able to fulfill that well!) I would love to take advantage of being in such a gorgeous place to get some. Does anyone have recommendations for even someone amateur, that would have availability for like an hour? I can find it hard to take being the center of attention for photos seriously so I really wouldn't be looking for anything too intricate! Also have a puppy that we would love to involve. Will be staying at Pacific Sands. Ideally not something to break the bank, budget would be a couple hundred dollars.

Just arrived in Tofino & need a place to camp for a can and a tent.
We were told we had a site and jammed out here this morning but the place said the gal didn’t make the reservation.
Many thanks in advance.

I am coming to Tofino for the last two weeks of August. I am a woman who knows how to fish and would like to tag along with anyone that can show me how to fish Halibut. Ive owned my own boat for years so I am a good boat driver. I’ve done a fair bit of fishing in the straight but not a lot in open water.
I’ve got money to burn on this project just looking for someone to take me under their wing and show me the ropes!!

My wife and I are staying in Ucleulet for the first time after several trips to Tofino. Tofino Coffee Roasting Co is our favourite spot in Tofino - does anything compare in Ucleulet, or is it worth the drive in in the morning?
Update: thank you all so much for sharing your opinions! After hitting Foggy Bean, The Break, and Tofitian, our favourite cup was definitely Foggy Bean, followed by The Break. Way to go Ucleulet for holding it down with the brown! ☕️

There's sushi, pizza, a few fancy expensive places with bars. A lot of cafes. What do you wish existed in Tofino or Ukee food-wise? Personally I wish we had something quick, under $8 that tastes better than a packaged Co-op sandwich. Or real French bread...

Me and my husband want to take a trip for our ten year anniversary.
I want some good suggestions on where we can stay in the area.
Somewhere on or near the water that we can watch the ocean.
Somewhere with good food that we can go for a nice dinner.
We’re not to into the whole spa thing but do love a hot tub!
Just looking for suggestions from people know the good and bad places. As we booked in sechelt a few years ago and it wasn’t the best so looking out for ourselves this time 😅

From what I hear reading posts on this subreddit it’s impossible to find a place to live in Tofino. I live in Nebraska and go to college in Nebraska, but I really need to be somewhere with mountains and ocean. I don’t have the money to live somewhere for much more than 2 months next summer, but I’m starting my search early to see what my options are. If anybody here rents it would be awesome if you dm me. Depending on how big the place is I’m going to try to find other people to make the move with me 😂. Maybe it’ll be easier for me to find a place in Oregon tho. I just love the mountains and the ocean so much and it sucks I live in a place with neither. Hopefully somebody can help us out, and give me a price. I’ve also already messaged people on Airbnb. Doesn’t matter how expensive it is I’ll try whatever I can to make the money. It needs to be close enough to the ocean for me to start surfing every day. Thank you to anybody that even read this whole thing haha.
