Finished work D20 tufted die, 3D object
Reinforced the triangles with heavyweight backing, to hold up the shape a bit better. Stuffed with yarn cutoff's and polyfill.

Really nice! Did you tuft as one big piece and fold it up or separate triangles?

Yes one big piece!Β

Talk about transfer stress! Getting all those triangles projected evenly/accurately must have been difficult.

It may or may not have come out a little wonky in the place where all the corners had to be sewn together π

I also made it as a gift! (for my DM) I looked for a paper D20 template, flipped the image. Traced it on the cloth and started tufting.Β

^ link to my insta reel that shows a few of the steps.Β
I also took inspiration from Jazza's video on the tufted globe: https://youtu.be/7rlJlEXc8Go?is=IoFfZxTKfhuO2sEs

This is so creative. I am so impressed. You did a really good job!!!
Did you hold it together with your normal carpet glue? Any tacks or any hardware used to keep it together or give it structure?
