I recently noticed that when you click on a user's nickname in the chat, it no longer shows the date and year they started following the streamer (this is the case for everyone). Is this a bug? Or does Twitch no longer provide this information?

I'm going to assume the answer for what I'm about to ask is a "no", but figured I'd ask anyway.

During a collab with a shared chat, is there any way for a user banned in one of the chats involved to chat in the chat? As a mod, I encountered this last night with 2 streamers (one I mod for and the other I don't follow). The channel I mod for, a regular viewer whispered me, saying they can't chat due to them being banned in the other channel part of the collab. Through DMs, I informed the streamer I mod for about this, but they didn't want to end the shared chat. That streamer is asking myself and other mods to find a way to make shared chat still work, but allow any banned chatters to still chat in other channels, to talk in her channel. Again, I already assume it isn't possible, but figured I'd post here as confirmation. This situation doesn't seem like an easily Google search kind of issue.

Ever since Twitch started turning UI elements into rounded pills or circles everywhere, the site has always felt off to me. I guess I'm just nostalgic, but I've been thinking about this for a while, so over the weekend I used Firefox's inspector mode and tracked down all the main button elements I could find, chat controls, follow buttons, settings, video player controls, ad overlays, etc, and brought back that old classic boxy square button aesthetic.

This is just a passion project for me. I'll keep it updated whenever Twitch decides to change any styling because I love that boxy look.

Ok enough waffling, how do I install this?

Step 1: Cut a hole in a box... sorry, just kidding.

First you'll need to install an add-on/extension from your browser of choice. I recommend the userscript manager violentmonkey (open source), but you can also use tampermonkey if you prefer. Then head to Greasy Fork, a site to upload/download userscripts and search for "Twitch Square Corners," or grab it directly from here: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/593937-twitch-square-corners

Once installed simply refresh Twitch if it doesn't do so automatically and your done. Those soft rounded pills are long gone in place of sharp, boxy, square buttons. Nostalgia enabled!

Tested on Firefox with violentmonkey, but should work fine on any browser with a userscript manager. Please feel free to try it out and let me know what you think and if I missed any elements, thanks for checking it out.

My messages are not getting through and I don't know why

what's going on?

I tried PC and phone and my messages are not going through (the streamer has chat layout so I would know)

After hours trying, restarting and closing twitch and opening it again I tried a redeem, I redeemed a pride scarf and it went through so I figured the "highlight my messages" feature could maybe get a message through but as you can see in the picture, the message says it was not sent

Hopefully this is just for today and it's back to normal tomorrow but in the chance is not, can someone point me towards something I can do for my messages to go through?

I tried restarting the PC, closing the tab, changing my badges, the "highlight my message" feature, switching to phone.

I stream off of my xbox 1x, And for whatever reason, no matter what i change my stream title to, weather it be from my phone or xbox, it always automatically changes it to "Test". I had it changed to test once on purpose, but after that, its always automatically changed it to that, even if i change the name before hand.

Looking to buy new microphone, preferably clean, cardioid and with good off axis rejection. been eyeing Shure but want opinions on best of the best microphones and also budget bang for buck picks.

Streaming 3x a week on Twitch so reliability matters.

For now I have been using a Blue Yeti on desk with no arm and really liked it.

additionally I have some problems with my room has no treatment so off axis rejection is really important.

In Australia options are a bit limited so need something easy to find.

The mobile App keeps loading every stream i try to open and never works since a few days.

So, I've been streaming for a bit, I'd like to say I've become proficient at obs and all things related.

And today half an hour before stream I lost my entire obs and everything that goes with it. (That one's a longer story)

But I somehow managed to scrape together an actual Functional obs, with mostly functional necessary alarms.

Did a little bit of behind the scenes setting up as well but it somehow worked.

I'm (USA) an affiliate and for OVER 1 year I've had a friend (USA) prime sub to me for most months. I've had 2 other random prime subs in the past year. (Ik one is USA)

Q1. How come only TWO of my monthly Prime statements tell me I made money and it's SO low. I made $0.02 and $0.04.

Q2. How come for over 12 months it's been saying it's under review and I've made $0? Am I misinterpreting it? It says it's under review and previously reviewed at the same time.

Q3. I understand there is a chance I am misremembering. Is there a way for me to see who has prime subbed + when without playing back all of my VODs?

If I am wrong about how many people have prime subbed to me, I also want to know but clearly these people don't have access to any useful data. 🥲 I was thinking of calling on the phone and asking for a "higher up" but I don't think they have a higher up who can answer lol. Our emails are currently going in a loop.

I was updating my emotes tonight, and I decided to use Easy Animate to add more animated emotes to my channel. I picked "Rave" for one of them, and then emote got rejected because of flashing.

Why is Twitch offering an animation template that can't pass its own guidelines?!

Guys why are some countries blacklisted as part of the twitch program. Especially countries from Africa. Where is the ration coming from? What is fueling it?

On August 30th, I was watching a stream in the usual channel I always watch on weekdays. After I went to take a shower and eat, Twitch suddenly required me to verify with a phone number. At first I thought it was the streamer who had enabled phone verification, but I quickly realized that every single channel was asking for it.

I then submitted my situation to Contact Support, explaining the sudden requirement and that I don’t own a phone number I can use for verification.While waiting for a response, I created a new account to test things out. I discovered that the new account wasn’t asked for any phone verification at all in order to chat. So this is clearly Twitch targeting older accounts.

Contact Support claimed they would reply within 24 hours, but after waiting two days, all I got was a copy-pasted generic response. They completely ignored my actual situation and just said: “We want to keep chat safe and fun for everyone!”If it’s really about keeping chat safe and fun, then why can brand-new accounts chat freely without any verification, while older users are suddenly forced to provide a phone number?

So I am on the streamlabs dashboard. Go to streaming tools-overlays. When I attempt to edit an overlay and place my user names in the text box it isn't changing. So I type the name in, save it, then reload and the name still doesn't show up in the boxes. Help

Hi, there doesnt seem to be an official reddit community for SE, so i thought to try my luck here. I cant get stream elements to see how many active subs i have on my channel. i like the simplicity of just the white text saying 3/5 for my subs rather than the integrated twitch goal widget. I'm looking for a fix or similar alternatives. strangely, it displays a sub when it goes through (for example my initial goal of 1 sub was hit and it briefly displayed 1/1 before resetting back to 0). does anyone have any solutions for me? I noticed this as I was approaching a renewal date for an ongoing, currently monthly, subscription to a channel. There's a promotion on Twitch right now for cheaper multi-month subscriptions paid upfront. Makes sense, I pay more upfront but the discount makes the per-month cost cheaper than just renewing every month, as I have previously, for $5.99.

What I don't understand is the wording at the bottom of the screenshot. It states: "Your new Tier 1 plan will be billed at $25.16 for the first month. Auto-renews at $35.94/month thereafter."

That is an error on Twitch's part I'm assuming, since either value for a single month makes no sense unless it's actually intended to indicate the price per 6 months. But I don't want to take the chance that I get charged for ridiculously high rates so I'm inclined to just cancel altogether. Shouldn't Twitch be accurately communicating that the $25.16 charge is for the first 6 months in this situation and not "the first month", and that the auto renewal would be $35.94 per 6 months thereafter, not "$35.94/month"?

For a company as large as Twitch, it seems crazy for a misstatement to slip through like this, and yet, with how greedy companies are nowadays, I'm not willing to get burned by clicking a button agreeing to something that is blatantly stated incorrectly. Anyone else notice this? I apologize if this has been brought up before, I didn't see any threads when searching or checking the FAQs.

Hi there, streamers! To start, I am not looking for the simple answer to "how do I move stuff into Streamerbot?" I have read the dev docs like a good noodle, I just haven't found any guides to achieve exactly what I'm hoping to do: consolidate multiple sources into StreamerBot without sacrificing the functions / alerts I've set up through other systems and, most importantly, without having the alerts taking up my ENTIRE screen. (yes, I know this account is new. I didn't want to post about my stream from my personal account!)

Feel free to skip this background info, but I've been streaming since March 2026 and all has been going surprisingly well. Until two weeks ago, I was running my entire Windows OS off of an external HDD since my SSD was dead. (I know that sounds insane but I got the PC for free!) Now that I've replaced the SSD and have everything running well, I'm looking to reconfigure some things for my stream. I'm currently using:

• OBS for running stream
• StreamElements for overlays, subscriber notifications, follower notifications, gift sub notifications, raid notifications, and chat commands
• Sound Alerts (free version) for the 10 original channel point redeems my chat has come to know, expect, and love
• Elgato WaveLink for source-by-source volume adjustment and mic effects (noise gate, compression, EQ, etc.)

Essentially what I'm looking to do is consolidate as many things as possible into Streamerbot and keep Sound Alerts as a separate browser source since my chat will literally lose their fucking minds if they can't spam "lizard."

I've read through the dev docs for both Streamerbot and StreamElements, but I can't find any information on what exactly connecting the two would do. Additionally, I'd like to configure some new alerts through Streamerbot that would include both gifs and sound, though I can't find anything to directly help me figure out how I would do that without the alerts taking up my ENTIRE screen. With Sound Alerts, I've been able to set up the source in OBS and resize it to be in the bottom left corner.

If you read all of this, and could provide any advice, even if it's just a, "hey dummy here are 16 websites that would have prevented us from reading your wall of text," I'd appreciate it greatly.

Hi! I just got my pc and i be seeing alot of people having vibrant filters like this while being on twitch and Ive done the settings to have it like that on obs but if I was to go to my stream to look at it or check out my clips, it still looks grey out a little bit
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm quite tired of seeing the AI summaries for streams whenever I click in. Is there a twitch setting somewhere to turn these off, or do I need to turn to a third-party solution?

Hey everyone, new here. I was watching a stream last night and something the streamer did really rubbed me the wrong way, and I want to reach out for opinions on this, both from viewers and streamers.

Basically, chat was having a good time with an off-topic conversation unrelated to the game being played, and after ten minutes at most the streamer stopped playing to scold his chat for almost an hour about how we were being rude and disrespectful for not engaging with him. He said this because he was asking questions to his chat and nobody was replying to him because everyone was enjoying the conversations being had. He was raising his voice and called us "little fuckers" and that was when I decided to unfollow. I and a few others were trying to politely tell him that he was overreacting, saying that a chat that is friendly and engaging with one another is a good thing, and he responded by saying we were giving bad advice and staying angry.

I think chat shouldn't feel compelled to respond to a streamer if they don't want to, and that all interaction should happen organically. I can understand what it must feel like to be talking to a brick wall when you have 50+ viewers in your audience, but guilt-tripping them into talking just makes things awkward as hell. I've never felt more compelled to unfollow someone in my life, and it was the first stream I had actually caught of the guy after watching his YouTube shorts and thinking he was funny. Literally followed and unfollowed within two hours.

Thoughts?

Edit: For context because some people think I or others in the chat weren't contributing, the stream had been on for over 2 hours by that point and we had all been talking and engaging with the streamer the entire time. The chat just went in a different direction for a bit, and I'm not downplaying by saying it was only for about 10 minutes or so. It really happened that fast.

I just want to test it out for a few streams see how it feels

IS there anywhere online you can just download some free ones (expecting others use them too)
