Commissioning Artwork

Hey everyone,

Been having some trouble finding high quality and personable artists that are happy to go the extra mile to chat and discuss exactly the goal I have in mind for the work.

I want to progressively add emotes, make stream overlays, and update my avatar among other things but I can't seem to find someone who fits the bill on typical fiverr/Vgen etc

Am I missing how to search for them on those sites?

Are there better ways to step up in quality?

Im not looking to just get them all done and dusted, I want time and care which is obviously more expensive but I can't find the middle step between Vgen and multi-thousand dollar commitment...

Any advice?

Cheers everyone!

I missed a Team Invite, what does that mean?

I am decently fresh ish. I used to stream incredibly sporadic but since I got laid off I been doing it daily and got to Affiliate decently quick I think

Then I noticed I had an invite to a Twitch Team that seems somewhat big? But the email went to my “Promotions” tab and I missed it and the invite expired

I did not even know about the existence of these Teams, what does that mean to me? Should I have FOMO or just relax about it?

Lurkers or someone botting me?

I made a similar post about this before several months ago asking for advice on this issue, apparently I pissed someone off and they feel the need to mess up my account , I’ve been going through this issue for like 4 months now and it’s not getting better I get high view counts and now chatters.. maybe like 5 or 7 maximum but my chat is very dead for 80-90 viewers I keep thinking maybe it’s lurkers but surely for such a high view count more people would be chatting, I don’t think this is normal at all any help?

I tried using sery bot I tried contacting twitch and all I get back is some AI response saying to basically ignore it which I have done , I turned off my view count and don’t look at stats but then I keep getting people coming in accusing me of view botting and it’s just such a buzzkill is there anyone else that’s gone through this? How did you resolve it

6 months summary - sharing the progress and insight

Sup streamers.

Let me just say that I never expected the channel to grow, bring any money in, just started streaming out of curiosity. Reasons aside, I feel like no matter what drove one to do ANYTHING we all love to see some progress. And I can safely admit, that I am somewhat proud of how both the graphs look like ( even tho I had one big raid in August which screws a bit with the data ).

I've learned a shit ton of new skills just to keep this small endeavour up and running. Thankfully I already had some experience with digital art, so I could prep a lot of things myself. But this is the level of micromanagement I had no idea stands behind almost every stream. And if an obscure channel as mine requires this plenty, can't imagine how much work is put behind the colossuses out there. I will just say I have learned a great deal of respect, no matter how big or small the streamer is.

What helped me the most was networking though. Actually engaging with other streamers around my size, making friends, connections, trying to become a part of the community. It all brought fruit of both knowledge and new viewers of my own.

Small as is, for me it is a huge success, helped me beat the social anxiety, dug me out of my comfort zone and taught me a shit ton. And I did it while also working full time 5 days a week. Let it be a comfort for all of us, that if I did it, so can you. Just prevail a little.

I will prolly see you for a yearly summary if all goes well :)

Until then o7

first time streaming

I mainly just want to talk to people from all around the world and meet some new people.

How hard is it to get started with streaming while staying faceless? I was thinking of using a PNG/avatar or something similar. I’d mostly want to chat, watch YouTube and react to things, play games sometimes, and just hang out with people.

How’s the discoverability on Twitch? Is it actually worth getting into, or am I just going to end up talking to myself for hours?

Twitch integrations

One of the biggest things I’ve learned from streaming is you don’t have to limit yourself to what Twitch or Streamlabs gives you.
We built a private Stream Hub where viewers can track their stats, achievements and progress, plus interact with mini games we created specifically for our streams.
It completely changed how I think about engagement. People aren’t just watching, they’re participating and becoming part of the stream.
If there’s something you wish your stream could do, build it. Even if you start small.
There are so many possibilities beyond the default tools. Let your mind run wild.

23 years old but Twitch requires Parent Consent for Monetized Streamer Agreement

Hi everyone,

I’m currently setting up monetization on my Twitch account. I’m 23 years old and entered my correct legal name and date of birth.

When I go to Monetization → Setup → Monetized Streamer Agreement, Twitch requires me to accept a Parent Consent statement before I can submit the setup.

The statement says:

Obviously, I’m not a minor, so I can’t truthfully accept this.

Has anyone else had this issue recently? Is this a bug, or is there some additional age/ID verification I need to complete first?

I’ve already contacted Twitch Support, but I wanted to see if anyone here has experienced the same thing and knows how to fix it.

Stats from the First 52 episodes of my new live music show

Post image
2 Upvotes

Really ecstatic with how things are going. I’m in a small niche so these types of numbers for the category I’m in being music (not performance) is really solid. I’m just wondering if I’m on the cusp of a plateau. There are hardly any streamers on the music category that average higher than these numbers unless they are semi-famous or doing some sort of live performance. We are not either of those things.

I’ve been streaming everyday but around episode 30 I took a two week break to move and work on the audio team at a music festival. I’m starting to feel the wear of the every day streams but the growth is so good.

I did notice if I take a day off the return stream is usually higher so I wonder if I’m actually hurting myself by streaming every day. I watched Ludwig’s classes but I feel like with time zone differences picking a set schedule/day/time of week limits my audience.

So I guess I’m just wondering if yall think this point it’s a good time to switch to 4 days a week or if I should keep grinding to build a larger core audience before condensing to less days.

I’m streaming about 2-4 hours per night currently.

If anyone wants to review the channel dm or comment and I can send but I don’t want to be deleted for self promotion!

HELP EDITOR/CLIPPER NEEDED ASAP

i am in BIG need of a clipper for TT, reels & short OR an editor for longform YT videos. i am up an coming streamer who has been posting consistently since i started last december. when i say consistently i meant it, 4 streams a week, 4 clips daily & at least one if not 2 YT vids. started streaming in february and i am now averaging 10 viewers (only including this because ik there’s ppl who would take that into consideration) i have done everything myself from thumbnails to clips , streams and yt vids thus far and ive seen the progress ive made from it. i dont want to put my @ on here cuz i am not trying to promote but plz if you’re interested dm me because i am looking for someone who could make the same style of clips i already am & if u can make them better hell, thats just even greater. we could talk about pay more in private, i can tell u off the bat i cant pay a crazy amount just yet (yt longform would get paid slightly more) but i will definitely make sure you get something for your time. lastly i wouldn’t be doing this if i didnt feel in my heart that one day i am going to make this dream come true, so if you want to be a part of the team, let me know, great things are to come, i promise u.

Streamers and Mods, I need your help!

Hi streamers and moderators!

My name is Tasha. I am a Doctoral student from Keio University, Japan.

I need respondents, approximately 300-500 respondents to answer a survey for my Doctoral research related to understanding the feedback mechanism in the current live streaming interface and burnout carried in live streaming space from the perspectives of streamers and moderators.

This survey will take around 5-8 minutes to complete. The result of this survey would be confidential, and no personal data from respondents would be obtained from it.

Please kindly access the survey on the link provided below:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKy3uwjrxTdKDzrXtRATMuz0Z8idQmSFx1YNLyqkZA4I21vA/viewform?usp=dialog

I really hope for your kind help.

Thank you very much, everyone!

Fresh to the scene!

So im about a week and some change into streaming and a few things I've learned a long the way is the the time of day one streams does indeed matter, personality matters, and understanding that trying to obtain followers through twitch alone is mission impossible lol. I have def expanded to social media (IG, T.T., YT) for streamer clips and just game-related vids. Question I have for you guys is: Do you stream one game until you've finished the base story (single-player game)or do you switch it up daily? Ex:Mon & Wed-Game A, Tues-Thur: Game B. ?

I had one of my best streams since getting back on Twitch 3 months ago! I beat the Ender Dragon on Hardcore Minecraft, then played Rocket League. It was very motivating to keep going! Hopeful for the future!

Finally got this achievement. Now to keep growing.

The days of hoping for just one viewer isn't that far behind me but I am glad that I have been making some real progress lately.

I've built a tiny community that I think has only amazing people in it and they show up and support all the time. This little hobby is growing and anyone can do it too.

Let me know if anyone sees where I can further improve or ask questions.

WHY NOT YOU?

Not sure who needs to hear this, but genuinely ask yourself, why not you? Stop paying attention to viewership. Stop paying attention to followers gained. Focus on YOU doing the right things. Review your VODs, have others review your VODs, post clips, advertise yourself, do whatever you need to do to succeed. All the top streamers were in your spot not too long ago. Why’d they succeed and not you? Be original and be yourself. Learn what you’re doing wrong and correct it. 3-5 viewer peaks now are soon going to be a thing of the past if you keep working. I believe in all of you, what you give, is what you’ll get. You never know what God has in store for you, so give it your all!

I’m starting to lose faith in TikTok and short form content

TikTok and YouTube short form content from (my experience) does not grow your other platforms like twitch if your only doing TikTok or YouTube and nothing else then I guess it’s fine but if your main platform like most of us is twitch and your doing TikTok on the side to help grow your twitch I would save your energy and time

I’ve been on TikTok making short form content for about a year now I have gained 300 followers maybe got 5000 total likes and upload maybe like 70-100 videos that average 50-100 likes 1000 likes being my highest and guess how many people have followed my twitch from TikTok.. GUESS…… ZERO ABSOLUTELY ZERO people arent interested in following your other platforms on TikTok people that like TikTok ONLY like TikTok and nothing else.. it only works if your already successful or an established streamer

Also as for multi streaming TikTok is also pretty terrible for that is well I always get 1 viewer on there and yes people do join and maybe like your streams and I get people that chat in there and say they like my content well after about 20 minutes they just leave.. and if you do get people that tune in and stick around they don’t even follow your channel , it just feels pointless

Now I’m talking about my personal experience here no one else’s.. but what about you guys what’s your experience with TikTok youtube shorts has anyone followed you on twitch or your main platform from TikTok ?
