General Work
Male here 29, I left my job in bad terms and now with nothing like "another option".
The guy even sent a termination letter to my email afterwards, it was dramatic way, I felt my boss was treating me bad. It was referenced abandonment of job 😂, it wasn't even funny. But the way life is playing personal games with me.
I even asked myself how do those people who quit their job and get back in gladly even do it, for me my former boss has made me to apologize but it's like he found it hard to forgive me man.

The overall attitude to working for someone else should be doing the delicate balance of "its-not-that-deep" and "I-could-fail-to-eat" in this economy. If you do not have any option already lined up, either grovel back to your boss or start to look for the next job. Approach the job market in Uganda now with, the knowledge that you might take a while before you get the work you want. But you need to find employment for now.

I will just try to win his mercy or kindness, oh God have some mercy upon me 🙏 getting a new job is something else nowadays.

Yes and maybe no. Private sector which is the biggest employer in Uganda is struggling. By extension employment rates are down drastically. This has been steadily happening since 2023 actually. The problem with being out of the work sector for a while is that getting the next job becomes harder, coz of the gap...
