Ahh they’re not lol. Imitating is usually the sign of low level intelligence. Intelligence, yes. But low level.

Imitation and the mirror neurons that support it are the foundations of cultural transmission, communication, and empathy. It doesn't necessarily mean "high intelligence," but it doesn't necessarily mean low intelligence either. It's just a requirement for is to achieve what we have achieved as a species.

Agreed. I meant at its core, this form of imitation, in no way confirms Monkeys smarter. A lot of animals can imitate basic functions
